Title: Does India have virtual mobile numbers ?
Post by: bitkin09 on February 10, 2017, 10:02:19 PM
Hello everyone.  Is there any virtual mobile number kinda thing available in India ? I have found several websites which offer such numbers for various countries except India.

I don't need it for a one time password. I would like to use the number & forward msgs/calls to my real number in my country. Please enlighten me if any site offers such number.

Thanks.

You can buy virtual Indian numbers and receive messages and forward calls to these numbers. You can even call using these virtual numbers. The prices are high though.

Here are some websites:

https://www.virtual-phonenumbers.com/buy-virtual-phone-number/India
http://www.smshorizon.in/virtual-mobile-number.html (this site only provides a number for messaging)
http://www.sonetel.com/‎

I've heard about Spikko app too that provides virtual numbers.

Thanks you for the list. Yes they are quit expensive because these websites are offering "toll free numbers" only.  I am not sure why simple mobile numbers aren't available.  And India isn't in the list of Spikko.

A lot of website offering virtual mobile numbers for india also and a simple Google search would reveal a list of these website.
I heard a app called Voxox can be used for generating virtual mobile numbers but I haven't tried it myself.

Thanks for the msg but as i mentioned before, most of those websites are selling toll free numbers. I checked Voxox and they seem to be offering US numbers only.  The list which is given on various blogs is FAKE.

As you well know a  virtual phone number in India is the easiest way to boost efficiency to your business. You can track & route calls to your agents without burning a hole in your pocket.

There are quite a number of Virtual number providers in India.

But why don't you try Exotel. Big Companies like UBER, OLA, Peppertap use their services like virtual number, Number masking etc in INDIA.
They are quite cheap too. Here's the link :
