Title: is there a listing of user classes?
Post by: Wingman4l7 on April 17, 2013, 04:58:40 AM
Is there a listing of all the possible user classes and the minimum requirements to reach them?  Forgive me if this is somewhere easy to find, but I cannot find it!

They're called called "Position" on your profile (defined as ""Member's member group or post group" in the Help page on profiles), but in the old specifications for the forum overhaul called them user classes.  Examples: Newbie, Jr. Member, Sr. Member, Hero Member, etc.

EDIT:  Realized this probably belongs in the "Meta" sub-forum.  If any mod wants to move it, feel free!

I think it's 0-40-100-250-500 for Newbie-Jr.-Full-Sr.-Hero.  You could write some code to extract the sample data and draw a histogram!  It's hard to believe some members are coming up on 10,000 posts.  I wonder how may keyboards they went through...

Thanks!  I went ahead and asked about it (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178589.0) in the Meta sub-forum; it is now stickied there (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0) for the time being.

Apparently it used to be stickied in the Newbie sub-forum but then got un-stickied in a stickied-thread clean-up.

It's unstickied but clearly (i hope it's easy to find) linked to in the main readme post.

I actually looked at that, don't know how I missed it...  maybe because it was called "membergroups" and not "user classes".  >.<

Will edit the wording on that later, didn't think about that....
