Post by: Gordonium on April 17, 2013, 05:34:39 PM
Is there any site that sells Apple products and accept Bitcoins? There is couple of Apple products in Bitcoinin.com, but not much.

Apple products purchased legitimately have a rather low markup.  The most common number is 8%.  While bitcoin through bitpay is actually a good match as it has lower fees then credit cards, you will not see much discounting on Apple hardware.

I don't want to save money, I just would like to support Bitcoin by purchasing with Bitcoin whenever it is possible. I don't understand what's "lol" about that? Bitcoinin.com sells Apple products for Bitcoins so why you are so baffled by my question?

I've bought amazon Gift cards from folks like occulta. That's what I used to buy my Retina Macbook Pro.  ;D

CAUTION!

I placed a "canary order" with them last week and while I was told to expect my stuff on the 9th, it still has not arrived today. No tracking number has been provided either.

I have emailed them twice this week without a response.

I do not know if they are a scam or if they forgot to account for Finals Week or something. Since my order was placed on launch day, I'm giving them some time to get their stuff together, but they really need to improve their communication if they are legit.

I will update in the reddit thread (as Scryb3) as I find out more, and continue to take appropriate action as needed.
