Title: [PRE-ANN] ORACLE
Post by: Blockchain Mechanic on February 18, 2017, 12:02:40 AM
Oracle has been in development for over three months and I am nearing the release of my first few products, namely the Oracle Client and the Oracle Multi-chain Client.

Below is a preview screenshot of the Oracle Multi-chain Client in full block mode (SPV mode still in development)

Future products include a decentralized exchange (in wallet) , a financial market for assets across all supported chains (in wallet too) and many more.

This is a pre-ann, just to let potential users know what is coming.

If you are a developer proficient in c/c++ or java and wish to join the project, please let me know via PM.

Please do not PM me about adding any other coins until after launch of the Oracle Multi-chain Client., by then i will have published criteria and procedure of adding more coins.

Further details to come.

Hi

Yes, It is fully compatible, if you wish to run a full node and already have BTC/LTC chains, you can just copy to corresponding folder. Also if you don't want the full node, you can run it in SPV mode.

Prohibited Use

You may not use Oracle trademarks in a manner which could cause confusion as to Oracle sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement. Take particular care not to use Oracle marks as set out below.

Company, Product or Service Names
Do not use Oracle trademarks or potentially confusing variations as all or part of your company, product or service names. If you wish to note the relationship of your products or services to Oracle products or services, please use an appropriate tag line as detailed above. For example, "XYZ for Oracle database" not "OraXYZ or XYZ Oracle"

Logos
For more information regarding use of Oracle logos, please review the Third Party Usage Guidelines for Oracle Logos.

Trade Dress
You must not imitate Oracle trade dress, type style or logos. For instance, do not copy Oracle packaging for use with your product or display your product name in the distinctive logotype associated with the Oracle logo.

Domain Names
Do not use Oracle trademarks or potentially confusing variations in your Internet domain name. This helps prevent Internet users from being confused as to whether you or Oracle is the source of the Web site.

Correct Use

Proper use of Oracle trademarks reinforces their role as brands for our products and services, and helps prevent them from becoming generic names that can be used by anyone. Examples of former trademarks that became generic terms are "aspirin," "cellophane," and "escalator." By adhering to the following rules, you help protect Oracle's investment in its trademarks.

Use a Generic Term
Use a generic term in association with each Oracle trademark the first time the mark appears in text, and as often as possible after that. You need not include generic names in headlines, package titles and documentation titles. For example, "Oracle iLearning software", "Oracle On Demand services", and "Oracle database."

Use as Adjectives
Oracle trademarks are adjectives and should not be used as nouns, or in the possessive or plural form. For example, "Oracle database's benefits.." not "Oracle's benefits..."

Avoid Variations
Do not vary Oracle trademarks by changing their spelling or abbreviating them. For example, "Oracle Collaboration Suite" not "CollabSuite."

EDIT: I like the look of that wallet btw, very nice job there

What makes this coin better than all the other alts? Does it have something special going for it?  ??? ???

The individual advances of Oracle (name under consideration) are quite numerous, but i can give you one i am currently revising :-

You have seen how anyone can issue assets on most blockchain, which mostly tend to be worthless? Assets issued in Oracle can be converted back to oracles, meaning they are actually part of the supply. Value gained by assets is value gained by the network as a whole, and value gained by oracle is value for it's assets too.

In terms of technical advances, quite a lot has been done, but what really makes a crypto-currency is adoption, there are many very good attempts out there but that failed because of adoption., That is the area i plan to push hardest, by making everything easier from a user point of view, great functionality, and relentless marketing, not just in the launch phase, but all throughout, adoption is a priority.

The scope of the project is huge, and leveraging cross-chain functionality, financial instruments and markets should draw in more users. Security and privacy will be beyond standard with strict security around the codebase.

O, this is cool, just something different, and could yes actually add a value to an otherwise "no-liability" worthless token eco-system.
This is a project by an actual developer just trying to DO something interesting, and for that  i will follow with interest! :)
More details needed? what kind of PoS? blocktimes, dates are cool ;p

Good Luck! :)

Working on stability and increasing the overall sync speed of multiple chains. PoS blocks are different from normal PoW blocks. A PoW only multi-wallet is ready for release now, but it seems like a half-done job if PoS is not part of initial launch.

Expect the full ANN in a few hours to a day. I just completed a windows build, Mac and Android builds will take longer.

There are some known minor instability issues that exist, but i hope to resolve them before the end of Q2 of the year. Hopefully releasing the client into public domain will garner interest from other developers, and we can fix everything. In a later update i will add error reporting code that allows users to notify devs of issues, maybe i can even tether the system to the official git repos. The ANN will contain all the details and more.

Thanks for your patience
