Title: Referrals
Post by: hashnest on February 20, 2017, 08:04:22 AM
Can someone explain what is a referral on a website? Is that one of advertisements?
I'm confused by different concepts.

Referral is you get a commission whenever you referred a NEW user to a site by using a link that the site created for you. Some sites pay commissions when someone signs up using your link, while most of the sites pay you commission when your referred new member deposited or invested Bitcoin or money in the site.

Thanks for the answer.
Do you have any idea if the referral is good or not for a website?
What are the goods and bads by beginning a referral?

Quote
Referral marketing is a method of promoting products or services to new customers through referrals, usually word of mouth. Such referrals often happen spontaneously but businesses can influence this through appropriate strategies

Referrals are good so far for starting a  new service like gambling, which you can get many users and traffics.
But sometimes people abused this system by making new accounts so you have to do something to avoid that if you are the site's owner. And sometimes, sites used this system to get many users to scam from high referral rates.

This is probably a good source of income. You could earn by doing nothing. It is called passive income.

On the other hand sites promotes this kind of platform to gain popularity and users in the end which also means a potential income

referal It's more like you promote it and you will earn some satoshis every time there are member joined with your referral links and  make deposits. but it's depends how much your referral deposit and how much is the percentage given,in short its your commission for promoting it.

- If you are referring your friend to any website make sure you have tried and tested it.
- Don't just refer anyone for small commission to scam/ponzi programs.
- If you can refer some potential client/buyer for any service you can earn passive income for long time.
- Yes it is good to have referrals under you because you can earn commission.

Positive:
People would promote your website when they saw that there's a referral program going on. You just have to pay them 15%-10% of the funds that their referrals have deposited.

I don't see that much 'bad' effects on referral program unless you're paying people right after they registered on your website. Someone can spam the hell out of your forum and create 10,000 accounts using a script or a bot. But if the referral bonus only validates when the referral deposits/invests/gambles, then you should not worry because you know that there's a money going back to you.

Referral program has been there for a while now and almost all website offers this, I wonder how didn't you hear about it yet.

In my opinion the referral program is just an easy way for a company to get new users without spending from their own money in order to advertise their services, it is followed by the investment and profit sharing companies to creat initial capital. I think it is not a bad thing but sometimes it could be an indicator of future scam intention if it is so high, like the HYIP companies that give 10% for referrals.

Referral is called a person who joins a program under your referral link for a certain websites. Usually legit companies have some pages that are called AFFILIATES or MARKETING MATERIALS and is here usually where your link to recruit referrals is found.

I personally have about 35 referrals in Megatypers (a solving captcha service which pays even in bitcoin) so I am happy with their 10% commission they are offering me. If you manage to get referrals for legit programs than you have achieved something very very positive called like explained above PASSIVE INCOME, you earn doing nothing.

What are the goods and bads by beginning a referral?
Being or Bringing ???

Being referral = some of your investment or amount you have spent will be shared with the one who guide you to the site/service. So it is good thing.

Bringing referral = If you have planned your marketing campaign carefully you can earn more than what you have spent on advertising site so it is good idea to bring referral for profit.

It's a good thing for website and referer. Referer receives commission (earnings) from referrals, website gets more visitors/users.
There are also some bads things in this case, like joining site through your own referral link.
And it can be quite hard to get many referrals, because sometimes you need to do lot of job to promote your referral link.

How will that need a lot of job? Well, as I understand that we just leave the referral link on the website. Anything else we need to do?

If you want that referral would join site under your link, it's not enough to leave referral link on website. You need to give some information about service, show proof of payments. And if you will promote ref link on various forums, facebook groups, you need to spend lot of time to post it many places.

Referrals are one way to market the sites products by simply giving a percentage of the money / bitcoins  (commission) that will come from a new invited investor. And you can consider that free advertisement from the first people that invested into your website. But it's one of the hardest job, because you need to attract people that are willing to invest and sign up with your referral link.
