Title: Fair Price For Selling XRP
Post by: misterbigg on April 18, 2013, 09:26:21 PM
Bitstamp charges $1USD for each 225XRP.

If you want to get rid of your XRP from the giveaway and receive Bitcoin, at the current price of $98/coin you should not give out more than 22,000 XRP to get 1 BTC. Here's a handy chart:

50,000 XRP for 2.27 BTC
40,000 XRP for 1.82 BTC
30,000 XRP for 1.36 BTC
22,000 XRP for 1.00 BTC
20,000 XRP for 0.91 BTC
10,000 XRP for 0.45 BTC

Amazing how much XRP price has risen since the giveaway.

Any truth to the rumour there will be a giveaway next week? Anybody have details?

Bumping thread. Lots of ..hm... idiots are dealing with people like Arvicco. This chart might help people to understand real price of XRP and prevent them from loosing it.
And yes - what about next giveaway? This is first time I heard.

You logic is totally flawed.  So Bitstamp is selling it for an inflated price and you are saying everyone else should sell for the same inflated price?  Bitstamp's price is WAY above the current market value.  Only noobs with more money from sense buy a lot from them.

Arvicco is actually paying a pretty fair price.  I am buying XRP as well so he is my "competitor" on here but I will say that his prices are very reasonable, especially given current market conditions.

But as pointed out above, the OP is making a very flawed argument.  On XRPTrader, they probably sell for 4x of what Bitstamp charges.  So does that mean that anyone who sells their XRP for less than XRPTrader is selling for is an "idiot"?     Is the guy who runs Bitstamp an idiot for selling for 1/4 of what XRPTrader charges?  These are simple concepts that somehow escape you.
