Does anyone have any ideas for a new altcoin? I have been  thinking about something but I can't come up with anything good.

If you can't think of anything right now then you shouldn't try to make a coin. A coin Project usually requires an extensive amount of research dannon. When you start a Project, the goal is basically from your own positioning. If you want to engage the users with your Project then you would have your own Project expand to the public users. I hope that you get the point.

Making money online is fine for now, what do you want in the long run though? Do you want to run from the public because you helped build a coin to scam people from different parts of the world? I wouldn't want to see you fall for the trap dannon.

Yes, Its good Idea to study existing coins and clone same and understand how this network work. After having enough understanding about the functionality of any coin, Ideas will come to you and during that time you can immediately start your new project as you would have done enough work. Just try to make the altcoin which gets accepting from the common store. So that's very good idea in my mind. there is no coin getting accept on the common store. I guess bitcoin is only the one. but it seems like good idea to make the second one.  ;D

Since you've stated that I am such a phrase then I am pretty sure that you've noticed me in this forum before. Also you mention Jesus so I am pretty sure that you know who I am, yet you don't have an idea of what is going to happen next. If you don't know who I am then you won't know what happens next as well.

Anyhow, to answer your question once more: Making a coin is a very long process if you want to have the public involved in it. Do your research instead of biting then running away after getting the Project started.

Well not all Altcoins are shit. If OP makes a good altcoin it will be good. Just an adviseto OP that coin can start on yobit then if they make it here or cryptopia via vote system project usually goes further

It goes yobit, ccex, cryptpia, bittrex, polo others are just adding weird unknown coins to get people logging on, nova is ok but need to build trust again. ccex is good.

Find a need that needs to be fulfilled .

Proof of Storage based (ie, Burst)

Storage is usable by holders of the coin (ie, Storj)

At intervals (10 minute?) there is an "auction" for an amount of the cloud storage space, on a 30 day contract, paid for using said coin. Auction is priced per GB or something, then on completion of the auction the winner has another 10 minutes to enter in the amount of GB they would like to hire, with a cap based on the percentage of available free space (1% cap?)

So thats how it is mined, other than that it is basically the same as bitcoin, with transaction fees and wallets and stuff so it can be used as a conventional crypto-currency.

So its kinda Burst but the used storage is used for something useful, or its kinda Storj with an auction system.

Data should obviously be encrypted and have multiple redundancy so if a farmer goes offline all data is still accessible.

Free space on the network is filled with "rubbish" data so if a farmer is sharing 2tb for example, 2tb of disk space will always be used.

Payout to "Farmers" or "Miners" is based on how much is earned by the network in transaction fees, how much the data they have stored is accessed, and how much data they have stored.

This means there is a possibility that 2 farmers each hosting 3tb of space could earn different payouts if the data they each have stored is uploaded from them at a different rate. This would be luck/chance based but I dont see any good way around it.

ICO hating trend seems to be rising recently. But tell me, if people are so tired and annoyed by ICO then why we are still having ICO?
Altcoin investors are voting with their money, their greed is fueling the ICO projects.
They need to stop backing every new ICO just to earn quick buck, so ICO will stop appearing eventually, it is as simple as that.

here my idea, proof of volume, i explain how it work, basically the block subsidy should be connected to the volume of the exchange, if the volume is high the blockc should increase if the volume is low the block should decrease, this can prevent miners from dumping when the coins is almost dead and have a chance to recover in the market

This sounds like a PnD to me.

I think most of the best ideas are already being explored by other projects, but you can try to do what others are doing in a better way, if you have the knowledge and the resources for it. Scalability is what big projects are trying to improve lately. The difficulty lies in trying to create something scalable, but not centralized.

I'm sure you want to create a new coin and launch an ico coin to collect money and why we will give you our ideas,if we have a good idea about a coin we will be the one to use it,or we will be disappointed once we see a new coin that has all our ideas,you can offer us $100 here for giving you an idea.

Think about things that can be de-centralized like a decentralized casino? decentralized Steam? i dont know. Think by yourself but repeat, don't do an ICO

Ideas is just  an ideas if you can give some ideas you can give but asking for payment you should be ask him via pm.
Or better to look for a partner about the ideas honestly it is hard to find interest of bitcoin users or people to buy ICO altcoins..

Decentralized services might work, to certain degree. Decentralization is not some magic keyword which will automatically make everything better.

Even we often remind/warned the community about the new altcoin, they will still do whatever they wanna do. Because most of them they do it for their own risk. Meaning they're always ready to loose in the campaign ico.

Ideas are the easiest part of creating an altcoin, execution and follow up are what matter. But if there's no idea, passion or need you want to fix in the market, there's little point in asking this on a forum where everybody's complaining by the space being too crowded with new projects...

Centra is very good potential new alt coin now price is 0.69$ you can go to https://coinmarketcap.com this coin future is very effective i think. Eidoo is another new great coin but still now ICO is running.
