Post by: pawanjain on February 23, 2017, 06:11:05 AM
my transaction got confirmed instantly in about 20 seconds
https://blockchain.info/tx/3b16f704f1086d2f3bcfe1716618027045092ab52fec85013ebc2999d50d9174

while transaction charge that I paid was about 0.0002btc which is very less for 0.0098btc .

while the friend who receive has problem with his transaction of yesterday , his 0.22btc is unconfirmed , you can see at the same adress who receive the bitcoin fastly .

Blockchain.info says it took 3 minutes, are you sure you are not stating the time it took to appear unconfirmed?.
while transaction charge that I paid was about 0.0002btc which is very less for 0.0098btc .
The amount of coin does not matter, only the size (in bits) of the transaction.
Your transaction is just about the smallest possible, one input, one output.
while the friend who receive has problem with his transaction of yesterday , his 0.22btc is unconfirmed , you can see at the same adress who receive the bitcoin fastly .
Can you post transaction ID?

You paid a reasonable fee, made a small transaction, and had some luck.
That is all there is to it.

these are the transactions I'd of total of about 0.22btc which are unconfirmed .

Note that those two transactions are bigger than yours (each has two outputs), and both have a smaller fee.
Miners fit transactions into blocks, and each block can only hold a limited amount of data.
To get as much total fees as possible, miners prioritize transactions by fee per bite (98.401 sat/B for yours, 62.016 sat/B and 57.16 sat/B for the other two), so your transaction is naturally confirmed much quicker.

If you want to see the full calculations as to why your transaction had insufficient fees, and a list of possible sollutions, i've created a tool to help you:

http://www.mocacinno.com/feecheck.php?txid=4126ada7e11d40ea8ba77743571d2ae5562ab41033cce7e253b7e255405a96ea

I've added a CPFP generator, altough it's still in bèta... I'm working on a tool to doublespend the unconfirmed inputs using a higher fee as we speak (will probably be released tomorrow, if i have some extra spare time)

The size of a transaction (in bytes) is determined by the number of inputs and the number of outputs.
Every transaction has 10 bytes of required information.
Each output adds another 34 bytes
Each input adds 148 bytes if it was previously received at a compressed key address and 180 bytes if it was received at an uncompressed key address.

This transaction is the one you said you created:
3b16f704f1086d2f3bcfe1716618027045092ab52fec85013ebc2999d50d9174 (https://blockchain.info/tx/3b16f704f1086d2f3bcfe1716618027045092ab52fec85013ebc2999d50d9174)
It has only 1 input of 0.01 bitcoins that were previously received at address 1xExA3dry8eavsAMrtAzZd1KWMk78BiHB (a compressed key address) at 2017-02-23 03:40:00 UTC in transaction b54c0dd3b91bf0137b2d7900d4a0216d9b193bea5125d59188ae6364bd3dca78.
It has only 1 output of 0.00981107 bitcoins sent to address 13Q3jM8fwznuV5WGCRJSwTGFzdjVYE8NnN
The remaining 0.00018893 bitcoins is the transaction fee.
The size of your transaction is:
10 bytes + 34 bytes (one output) + 148 bytes (one compressed key input) = 192 bytes.
The fee you paid is:
0.00018893 bitcoins / 192bytes  = 0.00000098 bitcoins per byte

This is one of your friend's transaction:
4126ada7e11d40ea8ba77743571d2ae5562ab41033cce7e253b7e255405a96ea (https://blockchain.info/tx/4126ada7e11d40ea8ba77743571d2ae5562ab41033cce7e253b7e255405a96ea)
It has only 1 input of 0.20833 bitcoins that were previously received at address 13Q3jM8fwznuV5WGCRJSwTGFzdjVYE8NnN (an uncompressed key address) at 2017-02-15 15:37:51 UTC in transaction 0fcf2b850d898a55d9264d43c06b8d2c3ab4d6269e97d66cf616deb539dcdcab.
It has 2 outputs
  • One output is 0.2 bitcoins sent to 1JmnkuZNXm72v1h2yRY11uNd2UcR27x7LH
  • The other output is 0.0081831 bitcoins sent back to address 13Q3jM8fwznuV5WGCRJSwTGFzdjVYE8NnN
The remaining 0.00014690 bitcoins is the transaction fee.
The size of your friend's transaction is:
10 bytes + 68 bytes (two outputs) + 180 bytes (one uncompressed key input) = 258 bytes.
The fee your friend paid is:
0.00014690 bitcoins / 258 bytes = 0.00000057 bitcoins per byte

Your transaction confirmed faster because you paid a transaction fee that is 0.00000041 bitcoins MORE per byte than your friend.

This is another of your friend's transaction:
1fdaf7e2f50aea9d272165232f578bc62c3875abdd06b2b4bd2e1eb63bf40088 (https://blockchain.info/tx/1fdaf7e2f50aea9d272165232f578bc62c3875abdd06b2b4bd2e1eb63bf40088)
It has only 1 input of 0.06057447 bitcoins that were previously received at address 13Q3jM8fwznuV5WGCRJSwTGFzdjVYE8NnN (an uncompressed key address) at 2017-02-13 08:25:40 UTC in transaction 66f35a46101d441840beef33df0eb1b36bfa61df5f38651235405dae03738387.
It has 2 outputs
  • One output is 0.02223 bitcoins sent to 1Aq8nBwVLzXTJvoAt1z11gvbXFMW2i9C7P
  • The other output is 0.03818447 bitcoins sent back to address 13Q3jM8fwznuV5WGCRJSwTGFzdjVYE8NnN
The remaining 0.00016 bitcoins is the transaction fee.
The size of your friend's transaction is:
10 bytes + 68 bytes (two outputs) + 180 bytes (one uncompressed key input) = 258 bytes.
The fee your friend paid is:
0.00016 bitcoins / 258 bytes = 0.00000062 bitcoins per byte

Your transaction confirmed faster because you paid a transaction fee that is 0.00000036 bitcoins MORE per byte than your friend.

transaction got reverse

Transaction never confirmed.  Not the same as "reversed".

and then the sender send the bitcoin again , but this time got double spent

Yes.  that's what "double spent" means. It means they sent again.

and Secondly no confirmation .
https://blockchain.info/tx/789404884567a79c28581c8d20a521ae0f4d3b77be615be1aa9bdbc9dbfd7149

Small fee again.

Transaction is 258 bytes size.
Transaction paid fee 0.0001469 BTC
0.0001469 BTC / 258 bytes = 0.00000057 BTC fee per byte

To have fast confirmation (next block) right now, transaction needs approximately 0.00000180 BTC fee per byte
0.00000180 X 258 = 0.0004644 BTC fee necessary for fast confirmation

Transaction might, maybe, perhaps confirm eventually.  It might take a few hours or a few days.

Thank you mocacinno is a very helpful site. I tried some of your tools and I already add the address in my bookmarks. Nowadays, the fees are very high and some people will be helped especially if you finish the doublespend tool. When you are ready with this and CPFP tool why not open a dedicated topic so we could converse and comment about it?
