Title: LocalBitcoin incoming transaction pending for more than 36 hours
Post by: JB0011 on February 23, 2017, 12:37:02 PM
Been using LBC for about 6 months and everytime I funded my account there, it took no longer than 30 minutes. But this time two of my incoming transactions are pending for more than 36 hours now. At first it said confirmed in 3 hours, then later changed to 20 minutes, then 30 minutes then 20 minutes again and now its displaying 30 minutes.

Anyone got any idea what's going on and why it has taken almost two days and still not confirmed?

Estimation usually isn't accurate at all. A miner can choose to not include your transactions. They can vary for several hours.

I would guess that it was due to your low fee. Could you share your TXID here?

It's pretty obvious that the problem is with the bitcoin network a lot of pending transactions since the past days. So, LBC's incoming and outgoing transactions are also affected with it. Just wait for it and it will be confirmed later on. Can you post your transaction so that we can know if you paid the right miners fee?

Yeah, looks like its due to low fees. But I never manually choose fees. I let it be automatic. Have never set fees.

The first transaction is of 2 BTC and the fees is 0.0003393 BTC.
The second transaction is of 1.68 BTC and the fees is 0.0003393 BTC.

What can I do about it? It's been more than 36 hours.

The mem pool is flooded by what apparently are spam transactions being performed by somebody who has either a political motive or a financial profit motive. Nobody knows who the spammer or spammers are but by looking around the forum some are pointing at the Bitcoin Unlimited people causing it.

This will go on and on for a while so better get used to it.

Have you tried to use https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ this can help you with your transaction. Can you also give us an update regarding your transaction if its fine now?
Yes try them i have also tried them yesterday and successfully got confirmation on one of my low fee transaction which have only around 50 satoshi per byte in fee.  ;D

I read somewhere that the Mempool are flooded and almost $30 000 worth of fees has accumulated for the miners to clean up. As long as Blockstream is deliberately dragging their feet, we <users> will suffer the most. The miners are getting the reward for not doing anything. < Not choosing BU or SegWit >

This has created a gridlock that benefits the miners the most.

How to use this tool?I've put my transaction id but I'm always got this message"transaction does not exist" what is the right format and procedure,it's been 36 hours but until it hasn't confirm.

It is disturbing the amount of transactions yet to be confirmed and the times it take for those confirmations. That's tge recent drawback of Bitcoin that needs addressing because like you said local Bitcoin took 30 minutes to confirm transactions but it's now taking way too long a time for similar transactions. This isn't a healthy development and we advocate for a change.

wow , these delayed confirmations are getting out of hand and we need to implement the segwit quickly. How can a single transaction takes more than 36 hours to confirm? Frustrating moments!!

Did you get it confirmed yet?

There is a large amount of transactions that are currently stuck in within Bitcoins Blockchain so that is why you have to wait a while.

transaction fees and transaction confirmation time is really a headache for bitcoin user now a days . if this cont then bitcoin might  loss its popularity because even by spending huge transaction fee we have to wait in a large que for transctions confirmation.

I don't think that Bitcoin will lose its popularity because of slow transaction confirmations. If the price is over $1,000 per coin then Bitcoin has a chance to survive without it being used like how people plan the coin to do.

Well there is a good chunk of the community that uses bitcoin for micro-transactions since mining fees were low and transactions were fast, not the case nowadays

Do keep in mind that the people who are using Bitcoin for micro transactions are generally not the people who are pushing the price up.
Not making any kind of statement here, I'd like the transaction fees lower...

Just saying that it doesn't seem to deter people from buying into Bitcoin.

You send 2 BTC and fee is only 0.00033930 BTC,it is in any case not enough that your transaction be confirmed within a reasonable time taking into consideration currently transactions situation. You can try with ViaBTC if your transaction is not confirmed.

Have you tried to use https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ this can help you with your transaction. Can you also give us an update regarding your transaction if its fine now?

It's pretty simple, just copy paste your txid in this format : 0f8105806xxx93f0826d911f94f4d4ed3893e784b0c4e318ddb663bfa2b44f22, and solve captcha then click submit.I use it many times without any problems.

I feel segwit is the only solution for most of our problems. The waiting has been reached to the maximum in Bitcoin now.  :(
Paying more fees is just a short term solution.. :(

mine one tx was also confirmed after 1.5 days. Pay higher fees will decrease the confirmation times now.

well,is seems that the blockchain is overcrowded with transactions , maybe because of the price growth in last days.

It could be normal. When I deposited some BTC into an exchange, I had to wait a whole night before arrival. Of course, 36 hours are MORE than a night (or two) so I understand if you are a bit worried. You could share the technical details and ask additional help HERE (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0). In blind I can say technically, it is possible that your transaction is alright just this slow.

This is not new to me, your  problem was also a problem by many of the community here,.. Usually the main reason why many of the transaction in the blockchain was the charge of the fee is very low, what wallet do you usually use every time you do transaction? if you are using Electrum you must always put the adjustment fees to maximum if you like fast transaction to be confirm.

Localbitcoin can do nothings for you. It is miner job. They delayed your transactions because of low fee. All you can do is wait.

It all comes down to the miners and how willing the blockchain is to move your transaction to the front of the queue rather than where-ever it is right now. It could be something related to the fee you put ith your transaction or whatever, but that's the issue you're facing. It might also be related to a spam attack.

You can use this tool to accelerate your transactions I read it from one thread and it's effective I've used it myself and got my transactions confirmed in 5 hours https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ (https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/),only problem is,so many people are using this tool that you have to try a lot to get in.

But this is not a problem of a low fee that is the standard answer peopke always say quickly without researching.I have been making transactions and I always raise the fee now to make it faster and it says that the fee was to low and it will be 80 hours to confirm but it does not take that long now it is 4 hours., The fees I send are more than the software/wallet asked for so the fee is not too low, the problem is something else
