Does philosophy useful nowadays?

Yes, it helps people think

Yes, philosophy is a very interesting approach to trying to explain and understand certain things of our being.

I just now that was reading this article was reminded of philosophy. I don't think it's useful nowadays. The only thing I remember is a saying from some philosopher that is good until today. He said that if you want to be happy marry a good woman if you don't do so then you will become a philosopher. That is funny.

I studied philosophy in university but after graduate and go work, I think that I don't use it in my job.

Philosophy is always useful, it may not put money on your pocket or food on the table but it allows you to get a better understanding of almost anything and that is very valuable.

Philosophy remains relevant at any time. Always people will reason, reflect and think about the meaning of existence and life in general ... I think that philosophizing is not harmful, the main thing is not to get too involved in it.

Its neccassary to think and consider out life every once ina  life, but focusing on it too much can be harmfull

I actually started studying it in college. Haven't done anything more pointless in my life. Everyone were pretentious fags who think they're god's gift to the world so to say, but they were all atheists and couldn't go through more than 5 minutes without mentioning it. Even one of the professors said that it's not a real science during one of his lectures. I kept this up for about 5 months, then I left. Even wandering the streets aimlessly is less of a waste of time than this. If you want to learn about philosophy just read the works of the great philosophers.

It's a waste of time. You better study something more useful, like programming, making things, making money, health and fitness concerns and so on... There are lots of useful things to study, why wasting your time doing something so useless and boring?

Philosophy is the prove that people is superior from the other mammals animals.
I think that philosophy will always be topical and at the same time timeless.People are incomplete and with disgusion,questions and generally  discussion people become more open-minded and less xenophobic.

It is useful for religious countries. The Middle East countries need philosophy most. With philosophy you can question your religion and make scientific improvements. Otherwise you won't change anything and obey what the authority says you to.

My answer is yes,  because i have professor in our school who believe that philosophy is the way to understand each other. I say yes because i learned a lot in philosophy it give me knowledge on how i will determine the people's life, on how they live beyond the reality and what are there true objectives in life. I wonder if people began to philosophize just to be able to manipulate things around them but then started to gain interest in more abstract concepts.

I don't think there is more stuff in the universe than the stuff of physical science. But I am sceptical that human behaviour could ever be explained by physics or biology alone.
