Title: Moderated Threads in Marketplace from people with red trust
Post by: HmmMAA on February 23, 2017, 09:23:53 PM
I was taking a look today at the marketplace and saw a moderated thread ( to be specific https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802072.0 ) . This guy's trust is total red .
I'm not sure if this guy is a scammer or not , but maybe the forum moderators should consider not to give the ability for moderated threads ( especially in the marketplace ) , so that buyers can be warned about sellers trust .
Had to share my thoughts , i think this a way to send some scammers off this forum .

The Trust system is meant to be separate from the moderation system and serves more as a warning from community members you find trustworthy. For example, if you happen to not have DefaultTrust on your trusted user list, the user in question might have a completely neutral rep.

There are NO valid references for any of that guy's feedback.  I'm not sure I'd trust any of it.  You can leave anyone a neg, but without proof it's meaningless.

Those feedbacks, especially the one that "risked" 42BTC, makes me think that someone simply has some sort of personal vendetta against him.

I think that the threads should be unmoderated so warnings can be made ( especially for newbies ) . I can understand that some people might have a "vendetta" with someone and if there are no valid accusations the community can decide who's legit or not . My concern was that we give scammers the chance to create a thread with no ability for the community to warn newbies that the seller is a scammer .
I hope you get my point , my english are poor to express with detail what i mean .

The red trust should be sufficient warning.
Anybody who spends a little time in this forum should know that the negative trust and self-moderated thread are red flags.

The "trust" system simply enables trolling for SJW beta fails that bought "hero" accounts. It has nothing to do with integrity and it should be removed and replaced with a transactional model like every other place uses.
