Title: S4 Noise vs S3 Noise Post by: jumbodrawn on February 24, 2017, 02:40:43 AM Hi all, i have 2 S3s running and they are a perfect noise level.
How much louder would an S4 be? I hear they are loud but i can't find anything comparing them to an S3. I might get 2 of them and want to make sure i don't spend money on something i can't run! I boight an S4 with the intention of incresing my hashing power but it was like a jet engine. Had to keep it in the adjacent room and it was still louder than the S3's

I was considering pulling them out of their enclosures and putting a custom fan thing. Title: Re: S4 Noise vs S3 Noise Post by: gt_addict on February 24, 2017, 05:42:03 PM I tried some acoustic ducting attached to the exhausts but that actually increased temps as the fans coildnt push the air through. You could try underclocking it and see if that redecues heat and as a result fan speed. I cant remember if the fan speed had a manual setting on the S4 but if it has try lowering it until you find a balance
