Title: Problem transfering the blockchain Post by: Bakemono on April 19, 2013, 06:56:52 AM Hi i tried to transfer the blockchain from my laptop to another computer.
I copied all the blk*.dat and rev*.dat files from the c:/.../bitcoin/blocks folder into 2 dvds and then in the .../bitcoins/blocks folder of the second pc. The problem is that when i opened bitcoin-qt on my second computer it gave me an error msg about the blockchain and started downloading the chain from the beginning. So what am i doing wrong? (actually i m not even sure if all those .dat files are the actual blockchain but anyway) Thank you.
