Title: ICONOMI will support the project WeTrust
Post by: jhon conor on February 26, 2017, 06:21:37 AM
just copy faste from ANN thread
ICONOMI's Head of Investment Evaluation, Daniel Zakrisson writes an IMPARTIAL piece on WeTrust.io!

(excerpt)
Project: WeTrust

The main tagline from the website is:
A platform for Trusted Lending Circles, powered by people and blockchain.

The slightly longer explanation from the whitepaper is:
WeTrust is a collaborative savings, lending and insurance platform that is autonomous, agnostic, frictionless, and decentralized. WeTrust utilizes the Ethereum blockchain to create a full-stack alternative financial system that leverages existing social capital and trust networks, eliminating the need for a “trusted third party”, allowing for lower fees, improved incentive structures, decentralized risks, allowing a greater amount of capital to reside among the participants, and ultimately improving financial inclusion on a global scale.

Personally I find the concept very interesting. The goal is to build a platform with increasingly complex alternative financial and insurance products. The first product being developed is an application for Trusted Lending Circles (aka Rotating and Saving Credit Association/ROSCA).

They have a website at www.wetrust.io (http://www.wetrust.io), a blog at medium.com/wetrust-blog (http://medium.com/wetrust-blog) and there is a proof-of-concept available on rosca.wetrust.io (http://rosca.wetrust.io). To hear the Founder's talk more about the project in their own words, watch the CoinFund's Hangout (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L2D5teync0) or listen to the Blockchannel's (https://soundcloud.com/blockchannelshow/episode-12-in-ethereum-wetrust) podcast with them.

Dear investor,

To keep you updated about what is happening in the ICO space, we’ll be sharing Daniel Zakrisson's (our Head of Investment Evaluations) ICO evaluations with you.

He will be trying to cover the most interesting and widely discussed upcoming ICOs, and you can expect evaluations once or twice per month from now on. The thoughts and opinions are purely his own and this should not be considered investment advice. The following is the first evaluation shared with you, and if you have any feedback on this service please let us know via support@iconomi.net

ICONOMI did not confirm yet they are investing in WeTrust. Doing a review/ evaluation is not the same as that.

Conclusion - Neutral (with a possibility of being positive)

It will be nice though but do not mislead readers.

I wouldn't be too excited about this announcement. But It's left to investor to decide  where or not  they want to invest their money in wetrust.

Emin Gün Sirer is a top notch guy. And Iconomi have a great reputation as of this day, especially gained through cashilla. So all the more reasons to be excited

i doubt ICONOMI would invest to it. the project itself isn't something trustworthy.
if i were to decide for iconomi its going to be a big "NO". insurance in bitcoin is full if shit and this thread is just one of their marketing trick to lure people to invest to them.

Hey Guys

This is not quite correct because there is not written that ICONOMI invests.

Daniel Zakrisson has written an article about WeTrust. Furthermore, he has analyzed some topics of the project as security, valuation, competition and much more. And his conclusion respectively his current assessment is neutral.

My general conclusion is neutral. I’m positive about the team, product plan and product strategy. But information is lacking and recent major changes and the design choices regarding the token sale structure does imply a focus on short-term thinking and not a focused and well thought out long-term plan.

I would change my conclusion to positive if relevant information is shared regarding the first four points above, and if the team committed to a staged release of funds. For example, a third of the funds are immediately released to the team and when the team needs more funds token holders are given the right to vote against the release of another third of the funds.

Update: I’ve shared this evaluation with the team around 24 hours before publishing, to give them a chance to comment and correct any errors and oversights on my side. I got news on several updates that are not yet publicly shared regarding the go-to-market strategy, project focus in case it does not reach the full financing and relating to a staged release of funds. If I understand correctly, the whitepaper will be updated and information will be shared by the team soon, and when it is I’ll go back and review my conclusion.

ICONOMI is not supporting WeTrust, I know you see the disclaimer at the top of the article, I think WeTrust team will only do themselves good by addressing the issues he raised that is begging for answer. maybe postpone the ICO for a week to accomodate those issues if not I don't think there will be much interest in the ICO

ICONOMI review doesn't give WeTrust any authenticity. It is not recommendation or shows ICONOMI involvement in WeTrust ICO.

Iconomi might invest in WeTrust

I bet they will since the team looks good and there are lot of people backing them

Its a good analysis about the ICO but does not means investment or positive rating, there are issues that need to be answered. Maybe they will answer it in time, so people can invest more easily

It is just a review by daniel. I don't want to adopt it with so hard in my brain. Iconomi will never invest on the project it has published by them.

If the iconomi is entering this ico, it is beautiful on this project.

I agree and this two coins when teaming up I think its the best result we can expect. ICONOMI has rack record, having a good and efficient coin and since during ICO and campaign. Very smooth transition, and also doing good on exchanges. All the best.

That is my concern: why would Iconomi invest in it? Sure, Iconomi wont invest in it because of the gain they will get in wetrust but because of iconomi itself. Now iconomi is not fully functional, it is using the acquire money through it ICO to invest in another project. Sometimes am bothered about how they just handle projects because they are fortunate to see investment.

I have some little investment in ICONOMI and if my memory serves me right I also read that email coming from them reviewing WeTrust...and yes indeed the recommendation was neutral. It was a good review though so we can see a balanced view of things related to WeTrust. I do hope though that they can have the success they are looking for and that their investors can make some money in return for the trust they put on with the project. :)

wow maybe this can make Wetrust ICO great  :o

just a marketing of we trust. Wetrust is a scam.

ICN don't announce where they will invest, they will only tell its supporters after they've invested and after the ICO. if they will then there wouldn't be any use of them being the fund manager anymore since anyone can just follow their advice.

Supporting a project and investing in it are two different things. There is no official announcement by ICONOMI about investment although wetrust getting 1000 btc on the very first day gives some indication but if ICONOMI have invested, why would they not disclose it?

I think this is not true, they are not talking about investing with Wetrust, this might just take them to make people happier and more likely to invest in ICO them today, but I am not sure about all of this and I just think for a moment why it could occurs with Wetrust. :D

holding icn for moon.  easy.

while I believe ICN will moon, its going to take years before that. have you noticed all those tokens and coins rise up when ETF were rejected but look at all the tokens like ICN and waves. they were traded with high volume but its price remains calm as icecube in your glass.  BUT for Wetrust to publish such claim like ICN invested on them is jsut for marketing which isn't really effective. signature participants will soon suffer for delayed fee.
