In terms of computing horsepower the rumor estimates 12.5TFlops compared to Fiji's 8.5TF. doesn't seem like a huge difference on paper. The VRAM capacity is likely 8GB. (2X4GB stacks) Maybe more in the future (2x6GB stacks of HBM?) What is your estimated hashrate on popular crypto algos like ETH and ZEC? I personally don't think it's gonna be a game-changing chip. maybe later when it becomes affordable and beats the 480 on price/perf ratio. What do you mean? He is implying that AMD wants to make a card for gamers and miners as they know it would sell better. At least that's my guess. Also the market of PC has been on the decline for a while now, so that may be a good way to make up for the difference.
