Title: Kano payout delay
Post by: CryptoJunkie2 on February 27, 2017, 11:42:49 PM
Hello All;

I recently pointed my miners to the Kano pool.  I show 3 payouts on my payout page, and the last block is confirmed.  I understand payouts occur 1-minute after full confirmation, yet I have none of the  payments in my wallet.  Can someone help me understand why?  The block listed next to each payout is as follows: 454689, 454847, and 454915 (the most recent block).  Again, all blocks are fully confirmed according to the web dashboard.  The total of the 3 payouts equal 0.00111481.  Not a lot of money by any stretch of the imagination, but none the less, not a "dust" payment either.

And perhaps I'll add a philosophic question here.  I was mining in another pool (Bitminter) prior to switching to Kano.  What is the general conscious about mining in a small pool with less frequent blocks and less shares to split the reward, against a much larger pool like Kano which has more frequent blocks but more mouths to feed when the block is found.  I am inclined to believe the smaller pool is better in the long run because there are less mouths to feed when a block is found, but that is just a guess on my part.  I can also believe there is not much difference between the two concepts.  More frequent, but smaller payouts, against less frequent payouts but larger payouts.  As they say... six of one, or a half dozen of another.

Thanks...

Kano doesnt use an auto payout system, everything is done manually. For pool specific questions there is a pool subsection to ask these kinds of things in.
