Hi,

My account Megashira1 has been compromised.

I am unable to login and attempts to retrieve lost password are not being sent to my registered email address.

I presume this is a result of the database breach back in September 2016 .

I neglected to change my BCT password as I presumed email verification was required when changing all account related information and I had 2FA associated with my email.

Live and learn.

Try and find an address (say 1Nw6zJNjcF978YPQg9FxT16Q6JSKM9bWo9) in an unedited post and sign a message using that address.


Once you do that you can approach DT members to give a negative trust.
And then approach admins to recover your account

Pm'd admin with my signed message. How long does this process usually take?

Post the signed message in public.  Then we can tag the account with negative trust until you get it back.

Otherwise, you could just be someone with a grudge making up a story.   :-\

With no thanks to BCT Admins I was able to retrieve the account by paying $20 to the person who ended up in control of it. He stated he had purchased the account from another 3rd party.

There really needs to be a better system in place where compromised accounts are able to get retrieved efficiently. Albeit an even paid for service. Sitting on months ends wondering whether you will get your account back or if an admin even read your email is not the way to go.

Special thanks to Shorena in helping render the account useless by providing negative feedback and enticing the holder to get rid of it.
