Title: Quicken 2009 UI ridiculously slow when mining
Post by: citryphus on June 16, 2011, 11:43:31 PM
I wonder why Quicken 2009's UI is so dependent on the GPU that you can watch every control repaint in slow motion. It's practically unusable.

Change -f so the framerate is above 60.

Mining kills my computer.  I would not mine on a computer you actually use day to day personally.   Not to mention having a dedicated server box would give you better results by far anyway.

Hmm. I tried -f90 and it's still pretty sluggish. So far it's the only app I've had a problem with.

It probably wants to use the GPU for rendering it's UI, nothing you can really do about that unless you stop mining.
