It only ever seems to go up.  Gets pumped a lot on Poloniex.  Your thoughts?

Being pumped a lot (if there is) doesn't mean it will become a scam eventually. Maybe because others are taking advantage thinking it will pumped more. Also it was being sleep for a long time. NEM price movement are just having a good run after it was idle at around 300-400 satoshis for months after their quite big price increase happen last year.

I don't think is scam, I also just noticed that nem was aggressive to swings their value in the exchange sites which bittrex and poliniex. Nem also had a good project in the near future., I also keep and it some of nem in my wallet.

look at its distribution at the start, the giveaway where the distributors claimed many shares for themselves, was exposed and then openly admitted too..................................so yes a BIG scam

like most giveaway coins so easy for distributors to claim as many shares as they like.

The fact that a certain altcoin gets pumped doesn't necessarily mean that its developers could be involved in the manipulation. Whales poking at a coin does not imply that its developers are looking to cash out and dump the project and surely doesn't mean that it's a scam as a whole. But other than that, you can't exclude any option since proving the opposite wouldn't exactly be easy.

i say its a scam because it was a giveaway coin where the giveaway was gamed, and it was gamed by the distributors which most definitely makes it a scam in anyone's language.

Looking to its movement theres no reason for this project to be an scam the dev showing progess and just like what others said its just a rise up because of under valuation so its just claiming what should be the proper value of this coin and hopefully it will even go up for more.

If it is a scam it's a very patient one. If there was going to be an epic dump of gamed coins, it would've happened by now.

I think the initial distribution was messier and more complex than it needed to be and it's very possible some deserving people missed out, and some undeserving ones made bank. Many of the gripes though are from people who ignored repeated bellowing about redeeming their stakes over a considerably lengthened period.

Yes.  UtopianFuture / Taunsew is the lying, cheating, thieving communist behind the NEM scam.  He didn't fund anything.  He just claimed about 1000 stakes for himself and defrauded everyone while claiming it was a "FREE AND FAIR DISTRIBUTION".  You make me sick.

No doubt, he is trying to get more attention for NEM, so he can make even more money off his immoral actions.

The NEM community just voted to start work on the notary project just similar to Factom project. You can visit the community website for more information, I don't know if they can see the project through because Factom has been working on their project from some time even before Ethereum and the platform is not ready

XEM is not a scam, it is used in some companies or bank already. Its blockchain technology is top-notch. The market cap is ranking NO.8 on top-notch. For so high market cap and real development progress, I fully believe XEM is a legitimate project. Although dev team holds 20% of total supply, it could be good for investors because less supply means easier pump.

Why are you even asking this question, if you are a student of market force, it moves up and down depending on the market sentiment, adding scam to project like NEM is a play gone to far, there are alot of obvious scam projects in the space that is not tagged scam. I like NEM and believe the team are heading in the right direction
