I asked PayPal if they are a partner but they said they can not give out any information. Now at least I want to warn others. The fact that they want the payment be done by "sending money to family or friends" should have set off all alarm bells. I'm now working on getting the registrar to cancel their domain name. The website tells me "We're sorry, but this transaction cannot be disputed because it is not a purchase of goods or services. Please contact the recipient directly."
Did you call PayPal? (I have to wait until they're open) Only sent them $100 bucks, but clearly I should've done more research. Their website didn't really set off any alarm bells for me. But the last time I bought bitcoin (years ago) I had to take cash to the local drug store and get a moneygram type deal. I had hoped it had gotten easier, but I guess not. I had to change my password after selecting this option.
It took less than 24 hours and the money was back on my account.
