Normal x11 please? I just got Baikal Scott hooked up and I wanna mine a new launch.

Also "smoothly" isn't really congruent with "every 4 years".

Also regarding your crypto news channel: we *really* need to talk in PM because I have something that might really help you.

It's a false positive because of built in CPU miner. No need to post stuff like this, the source code is publicly available. Review that first please!

New in-wallet CPU miner coming this month. Easy solo mining for anyone :)
Built-in wallet mining tool is great because it will make lives of small miners, who don't have enough money to buy specific-mining-rigs to mine the coins for fun.
It might be better if miners can mine ZillionCoin with CPUs.

55 blocks to go.

Network currently has 17 nodes, all of which have switched to new version (protocol 70020).

So fork should go smoothly.

Yes, the algorithm is pretty heavy on CPU.

What CPU are you using anyway?

Can you run windows and linux and compare?
I think linux version should give you more hashes because it's 64-bit

As this is just an experimental coins, does it mean you will not opening some ICO or something like that?
So it won't planed to get listed on any exchange?

We were "experimental" until yesterday when we launched our new ZillionFLUX algo.

We are planning exchange listing as soon as we find a suitable exchange that doesn't charge exorbitant prices.

no mining pool?

Hashrate is pretty low. You should be able to find many blocks even with an average CPU.
So there is no need for a pool.

Give it a try.

1) Download qt-wallet
2) Go to mining-tab
3) click on "Cpu miner"
4) set the amount of CPU-threads you want to use
5) click "start mining"

that's it!

I would look at getting  it listed at https://www.coinex.com (yes I have removed my refferal code) as they have a nice volume and i believe it can be listed with just votes , they o have a exclusive offer as well, but i think this would be great to have it traded against BCH/BTC/ETH and USDT , but its only a suggestion

https://www.coinex.com/apply

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll compile a list of possible exchanges and when the time is right, prepare a voting campaign once we have the community going.

Right now we're in the CPU mining phase, meaning one wallet per computer/miner.

Once we release the GPU miner, it should be possible to accomplish that.

The CPU miner is integrated in the wallet and will not be released separately. As the CPU mining cycle will probably be a couple of months (before the total net hash rate becomes too big to be profitable), after that we will release the GPU miner (under development right now).

here is a small tutorial to compile the zillion daemon on linux ubuntu 16:

Code:
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libssl-dev make g++

sudo apt-get install git

git clone https://github.com/zillioncoin/zillioncoin.git

cd zillioncoin/src

sed -i '242s/get<const CScriptID&>(address)/get<CScriptID>(address)/' rpcrawtransaction.cpp

chmod +x leveldb/build_detect_platform

make -f makefile.unix

and you should be good.

all of a sudden zero connections??

there may be something wrong with your network or OS

please restart your wallet.

Also, it will help if you turn your wallet into a full node by forwarding port 41682 to it.

I agree! All the work needed for a Zillion project has been planned by the team. Following the roadmap is also essential. In addition, the support of the community also makes the project soon to be listed and successful! So Zillion needs a strong promotional campaign at the moment!

yeah i got it worked out , forwarding port?? , i have to wallets running full time on 2 different IPs, I thought they were full nodes

"Forwarding port" means that you make your port accessible from outside.

Wallets are usually not full nodes by default (except when you run them as daemon on a linux server), you have to open port 41682.

You will know you have a full node by checking how many connections it has.

If it's <= 8 then it's a normal wallet.

If it's >8 connections then it's a full node.

My full node currently has 32 connections.

Check whether the port 41682 of your IP is open by using a tool like this:

https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

if it works you are good to go.

yes, wallet needs to be unlocked for mining, except if you directly mine to a specific address using miningprivkey=X in zillioncoin.conf

To unlock your wallet you have to open Debug-window and type:

Code:
walletpassphrase <passphrase> <timeout>

passphrase is your password
timeout is how long you want your wallet to be unlocked

if you have problems with that I suggest you don't lock your wallet in the first place.

After your coins are mined you can always transfer them to a locked wallet somewhere else.

This sounds like a bug that happens because of the ticker function that isn't fully implemented yet. (proper clean-up-functions are missing)

This bug popped up AFTER you closed the wallet, right?

Our CPU miner was launched last month and is built into the ZillionCoinwallet.

Just download the wallet (download link on first page of this thread), let it sync with the network (might take a few hours) and once it is synced completely you can start mining with your desktop or laptop computer. The more threads your CPU has, the faster you will mine. You can also throttle your CPU usage in case you want to mine while working on your computer.

Simple and easy.

No. run and in seconds close.

What MacOS version are you using, and what are the specs of your computer?

macOS High Sierra
Version 10.13.6

3.1 CHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDR3

No solution about this? i'm use windows version now and mining about 3k ZLN.

A Mac solution is in the works for all versions.

Okay. When your coin listed in exchange?

Block Explorer for your coin?

We are working on a more expanded blockchain explorer, needed for exchange listing.

In the mean time, there's one built into the wallet:

Tell me, how many coins do you need to run masternoda?
when is the stock exchange expected?

1) Our "masternode" concept is very different from what's currently out there. We are actively building the ZillionGrid (with API) using different types of nodes to ensure fast performance and capacity. We haven't decided yet on "Zillion Server Node" collateral, we will have multiple classes of nodes (depending on server configuration and bandwidth).

2) Exchange listing is being prepared, no set date as of today.

More will be posted about this in the near future.

Title: 6 suggestions
Post by: 1mk3r on September 04, 2018, 02:10:45 PM
I have 6 suggestions.
Sorry for bad english.

1.Please add seedphrase wallet generation option.
To generate and recover wallet by seedphrase.
Like in electrum wallet.
Or better then electrum - like in waves decentrilised exchange, it is the best example, its seedphrase generation form (like brainwallet) is not limited by the standard electrum phrase pattern, and any phrase can be entered.

2.Please add "number of threads using in mining" argument in zillioncoinhd daemon. For example i wanna start it like a system service (daemon) and permit only 2 threads from 4 to mining.

3.Please add option: "send to wallet <walletaddress> all avaible coins, when you have mined new block". Because I want to send them immediately on coldwallet and not hold em on hotwallet.

4.Is it possible to add an option that will allow you to evade downloading full blockchain, and will allow to use other fullnodes as electrum servers, to provide you to send transactions, and to know your ballance. For example it will be useful when you need to access your brainwallet when you faraway from home, using external computer with linux live cd, and wanna make transactions fast without downloading full blockchain.
I speaking about autonomous decentralized electrum server system, working from box. Is it possible?

5.Don't you wanna make zillioncoin forever cpu-only (gpu and asic impossible), like hodlcoin (1GB AES algo)?
Together with spreadcoin antipool algorithm, cpu-only-mining algorithm will ensure strong decentralization according to principle: one miner - one computer - one node - equal chances of getting a block, no asics, no pools, no gpu rigs which jumping from coin to coin.
I think, for today in such a market niche, zillioncoin has no competitors. And in my opinion, for now zillioncoin is the most accurate realization of Satoshi's vision from ever made. This is not just another shitcoin. In fact, it's like a crusade against centralization. It's sacred. And it must be CPU only.

6.Is it possible to add zillioncoin to barterdex decentrilised exchange using atomic swap.
https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/BarterDEX/releases
You can write issue to developers. They are good guys, and will not refuse if the coin meets the following conditions:
https://komodoplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KPSD/pages/154107956/How+to+submit+your+coin+to+BarterDEX
From this exchange zillioncoin will never be delisted even in apocalyptic scenario.

I have 6 suggestions.
Thanks for the suggestions, some are really good and under development...

Q1. Please add seedphrase wallet generation option.
A1. We are working on an upgraded codebase, this will be available at that time

Q2. Please add "number of threads using in mining" argument in zillioncoinhd daemon.
A2. possible, just put "genproclimit=x" in zillioncoin.conf

Q3. Please add option: "send to wallet <walletaddress> all avaible coins, when you have mined new block".
A3. we are currently working on this, should be available in the next upgrade

Q4. Is it possible to add an option that will allow you to avoid downloading full blockchain
A4. We have considered an SPV version of the wallet, this is a lot of work. It is possible you will be able to do this in a more simple way when we release our API (still working on this)

Q5. Don't you wanna make zillioncoin forever cpu-only
A5. We would love to do that, the problem with CPU only is that at a certain moment, when total nethash is too high, there is no more ROI for anybody.

Q6. Is it possible to add zillioncoin to barterdex decentrilised exchange using atomic swap.
A6. We are working on an upgraded codebase, this will be available at that time

Very thank you for answers.
I am completely satisfied and look forward to updates.

Q5. Don't you wanna make zillioncoin forever cpu-only
A5. We would love to do that, the problem with CPU only is that at a certain moment, when total nethash is too high, there is no more ROI for anybody.
Did I understand correctly? You said that on the CPU algorithms at a certain point, mining becomes unprofitable?
If so, then why is there no similar problem at the GPU or Asic? Or is it there?
Why some CPU coins like Hodlcoin still alive since 2014?
Why a negative ROI at some point of time is a problem, should not halving and increasing difficulty compensate for this, with time? Should not the price start to go up?

Q2. Please add "number of threads using in mining" argument in zillioncoinhd daemon.
A2. possible, just put "genproclimit=x" in zillioncoin.conf
I didn't find zillioncoin.conf. Tried to create it, and using -conf=zillioncoin.conf argument in bat file, but it didn't work.

Then i simply created bat file with foolowing instructions:

zillioncoind.exe -gen -genproclimit=2
And it have worked.

I think, argument -genproclimit=x should be added to -help list.

Title: 7th (Another one) suggestion
Post by: 1mk3r on September 10, 2018, 07:02:59 PM
My 7th suggestion. Payments by shares.

There is in Ethereum such a thing as uncle blocks (uncle is the brother of the paternal block), these are orphans that are monetized and added to the blockchain and increase its difficulty and safety, due to the computations embedded in them. Uncle included in the unit, receive a 7/8 static block award.
I propose to extend this mechanism not only to orphans (ideal alternative block solutions) but also to shares (non-ideal alternative block solutions) and to pay them a reward proportionally to the degree of ideality of the shares (like in proportional pool system), from 7/8 for ideal orphan and down to the ultimate lower ideality of accepting the share, ULIOATS is fixed and corresponds to the daily work of the statistical middle-user cpu-processor for example core-i5 2400.

This system will provide a guaranteed periodic award for any even for the weakest processors. Due to this, weakest processors will not escape from solo-mining even in case of strong increasing difficulty of the network and increasing of time between their blocks to unacceptable values, measured in years.

The problem of a heavy blockchain, I propose to solve by cutting off the tail of blockchain. Let's assume so: every 50 thousand blocks (with block time of 1 minute - this is about a month) creates a checkpoint block containing a complete list of all non-zero wallets and their balances. And every 300 thousand blocks, the most ancient tail under the most ancient “50 thousand checkpoint block” is cutting off.

Good suggestion, there are some incentives with "uncle blocks" for the slow processors and we'd love to find a way to secure it for sure. We've run into the possibility that some people might focus on mining empty uncle blocks, in which case the whole system can be abused/circumvented. I didn't follow this on ETH but I think their solution was to mine empty blocks at the same speed as blocks with tx. Not sure if they implemented this. As with many good ideas, having to protect against abuse sometimes prevents adding new features or requires more dev time to make sure it's implemented and used as designed. That being said, we're certainly interested in a reward mechanism for slower processors. We are continuing the research into such mechanism. Thanks for the suggestion and keep posting ideas.

Sorry, but I did not understand, why the problem of empty uncle blocks is the problem of only uncle blocks.
As i know this problem exists even in bitcoin blocks.
As far as I know, those (evil)miners downloads only the title of the last (father's)block and mining their own empty blocks without bothering with the analysis of transactions added to (father's)block. (Evil)miners makes their blocks empty because adding random transactions from mempool without analysis of (father's)block transactions may cause contradictions between (father's) and (son's)blocks, which will make (son's) blocks invalid.
Simply: either you waste time and analyze your father's block, either not, but then you should make your own empty so that he does not contradict the father.

If so, could not this problem been solved by adding "hash-whole-father's-block" element in Proof Of Work similar to"hashwholeblock" in spread/zillion coin?

uncle blocks are a bad idea.

They add a complexity that makes the whole network more unstable and introduces new attack vectors.
We can live without that.

This coin will be part of the ZillionGrid, a decentralized hybrid blockchain infrastructure for applications (with API). We are currently working hard on getting the Alpha version 001 ready. As soon as those tests are completed we'll post more information here... in the mean time enjoy the quiet CPU mining phase. The CPU miner is built into the wallet and it's very easy to mine coins.

i got this error when i run make -f makefile.unix:
makefile.unix:192: recipe for target 'obj/checkpoints.o' failed
make: *** [obj/checkpoints.o] Error 1

on what system are you compiling?

And what is the Error that got posted (scroll up to see the actual error mentioned, what you posted is just the end-summary),
I need more info to help.

Compiling on ubuntu 18.04 desktop

are there some CPU benchmarks?

Anyone here with a Ryzen Threadripper?

I wonder how many hashes one of the top models can achieve on 64-bit linux

i got this error when i run make -f makefile.unix:
makefile.unix:192: recipe for target 'obj/checkpoints.o' failed
make: *** [obj/checkpoints.o] Error 1

on what system are you compiling?

And what is the Error that got posted (scroll up to see the actual error mentioned, what you posted is just the end-summary),
I need more info to help.

this means you have the wrong Openssl version, it expects an older one.

i did a compilation on ubuntu server 17.04 and got no errors. but how do i run the deamon or the miner?

you run the daemon by doing a

Code:
./zillioncoind &

but first you need to create a proper zillioncoin.conf file:

Code:
rpcuser=someuser
rpcpassword=somepassword
daemon=1
server=1
gen=1
genproclimit=-1

if you want to mine to a specific address, add this to the conf file too:

Code:
miningprivkey=<your mining privkey>

Who is on the team, what are their backgrounds & credentials, and do they have any public track records? Where are you physically based out of? How many tokens will be owned by the foundation & founders? Is there a vesting schedule?

You can change POW Algo from Zillionflux to 1GB-AES (Hodlcoin) and look at  ZgDyGeJJhmXwSroPasbTg3PVY9ohHUT8Xo. If he (or someone else) will gain similar dominance again, he have a CPU farm. If not - he have a GPU farm, because as i know, nobody had written gpuminer for hodlcoin since release. Anyway zillion flux is not resistant to GPU and you should change it to CPU-only algo. IMHO he have a GPU farm and had written cuda mner.

Yes, I have tested for both ubuntu 16 04 or 18 04, it should work with those without much hassle.

how to change data dir for qt wallet in linux?

start the qt wallet through the terminal and add parameters there...

e.g.

Code:
sudo ./zillioncoind -datadir=something

It may be necessary that the folder already exists before you do that, so you have to create en empty folder by that name first.

we have 3 nodes "hardcoded" in the wallet, including port used to connect to the wallet. This makes every wallet a full node, on the condition the port is accessible from the outside. Firewalls and routers could block that port, in which case you'll have to open it using your network configuration tools.

more nodes for the zillioncoin.conf file:

AddNode=45.35.169.104
AddNode=45.35.169.108
addnode=213.252.244.181
addnode=213.252.244.12
addnode=185.25.50.193
addnode=45.35.169.104
addnode=45.35.169.108
addnode=185.25.51.238
addnode=185.25.50.183

these will all be added to the next wallet version so no config files will be needed for full node operation.

We are currently in "pre-beta", testing our "Zillion Node Launcher" program (installer) and all documentation for Windows 10.

Once that is done we'll do the same for Ubuntu (16 & 18).

We will announce a public beta soon after  that.

Update:

Zillion Node Launcher for Windows seems to work better now, our main problem is that we tried to install everything in one program which caused trouble in case of previous installs...

right now we have install process for Java, JavaFX and Zillion Browser separated...

we also added a system tray program to visualize server health, grid communications and server start/stop...

we're cleaning up some small issues and prepare our browser beta version, most likely ready by Friday Jun 14...

Ubuntu 16 and 18 install versions will come right after that, hopefully by next Friday Jun 21...

If/when we make the Jun 21 deadline, we'll test for the next 4 weeks to verify redundancy, replication, QR login, and a few other essential functionalities and announce a public beta campaign most likely around August 1st

Cheers!

Times will come when u people start killing each other for another zillion of zillion coins. Its ramping up faster than speed of light, and this statement is not something taken out of someones ass and spiced with lie. This is the fact everyone should accept. Crypto moves, eggs crack, feet smell and zillion just exists. Its something that acts upon everything from another dimension.

 - Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16 or 18
 - Any decent hardware station will work (8GB RAM, 500GB+ HD)
 - This program is for Zillion Server Nodes to create the ZillionGrid, a multi chain, decentralized application development and storage network
 - Your feedback is welcome, that's why we have this program. We suggest you use a computer that's NOT your main workstation... we tested as much as possible but unexpected problems could arise
 - Once installed, you will see your server resources appear on the ZillionGrid World Map
 - No individual identifiable information will be public, just your machine name, which you can name anything you like at server registration time
 - We only scan hardware specifications (CPU type, RAM, all harddrives, total storage, available storage), we DON'T scan file systems
 - A list of installed programs will be visible at install time such as MySQL, Java, JavaFX, Tomcat, etc.
 - A list of ports will be available, make sure bi-directional traffic is enabled in your firewall for those ports
 - We did virus and malware scans for most AV programs, let me know if you have false positives so we can maintain a list

More information will be posted here as our program is progressing, we anticipate multiple changes before public launch...

The Decentralized ZillionGrid

To understand the inner workings of this Decentralized ZillionGrid we need to explain it’s 4 building blocks:
1. ZillionGrid Hybrid Topology;
2. Grid Management;
3. Grid Blockchain; and
4. Grid Access and File Management.

How can I make money with the ZillionGrid

  1) mining of course: we need miners to secure the blockchain and the block rewards can be sold on the markets
  2) server nodes (or master nodes): we have 4 levels of hardware requirements and corresponding ROI
  3) add your own coin: we have a separate channel for coin devs who want to add their own coin
  4) add your own app: also a separate channel for application developers
  5) programming courses and webinars: you can create your own programming courses and sell those, we can help you create the curriculum
  6) events: we will create our own Meetup events and also collaborate with existing User Groups

As usual, you can message me directly if you have an interest in developing any of these programs!

Christmas Update:

The ZillionScan is shaping up pretty good on both ZillionGrid and IPFS.

We have completed the proof of concept for the following ZillionScans:

- Scan a friend (sends a friend request from logged in user, error on invalid code/existing friend or request)
- Upload video (uploads video and stores in ZillionGrid)
- Upload audio (uploads audio and stores in ZillionGrid)
- Upload image (uploads image and stores in ZillionGrid)
- Integrated ZillionScan (scans QR code and does a friend request or (dis)play video/audio/image) Working on
- Uploading a text/binary file to ZillionGrid
- Including download text/binary file when the format is not supported by ZillionScan
- Hash generation of the video/audio/image/text/binary file for ZillionScan
- Including writing hash to participating coins OP_RETURN on ZillionEntity upload (Zillion Seal)

Working on the .net demo as well as a Zillion Applet for ZillionScan.

no new release date yet, right now we're still in CPU mining phase until market conditions improve.
