Title: Brute Force Encrypted Wallet
Post by: FergusC on April 21, 2013, 02:21:49 AM
I seem to be having problems with unencrypting my local wallet. Not much in it (1.34BTC), but I would still like to get it back. Does anyone have any recommendations or a detailed guide on how to brute force or crack the wallet? I tried following recommendations in other threads but it is not working for me - maybe with some tweaking I could run the script but I would need some help.

I thought I knew the password as it is one I used before in college - I can only presume I mistyped something when encrypting the file for the first time. If someone can crack it easily I would give them the .34 BTC as a small thank you. I have an idea of the length of the pass, the random symbol used and the numbers.

Thanks all,

FC

tbh at this stage I'd pay as high as .75BTC, hate leaving it as lost. Any takers? have a decent idea of the possible combinations.
