Anyway I think you'd have to convert to a normal debit account via xfer through an exchange. There might be apps to send money via qr or NFC mechanism though

They require a central authority in control of the money to process the requests. A bitcoin "debit card" would be a small device with a tiny display allowing you to confirm or deny potential transactions. This way you remain in control of the money.
