Ben - I'm interested with what you do here and am UK based. The challenges as I see it are:

1) Standing out from the crowd. The UK needs a strong GBP based exchange. Coinfloor is the best current exchange in the UK IMO. But it's how you'd go about taking their volume (and volume from Polo and Bittrex).

2) Security - if the exchange was to have some moderate success, it would certainly become a target for hackers. How much do you know about securing an Exchange or perhaps more importantly - do you know how much it costs to do so?

3) Getting this off the ground. There's lots of small exchanges trading dust. Do you have any thoughts around how you attract folks to your site? I did like the rawx.io method of giving users a % of the profits, relative to how much funds they had deposited.

So how can we invest in the exchange?

Not hosting an ITO/ICO or crowdfunding at the moment although it is in the plan for the future in order to raise finance more effectively.

Taking on a very small amount of private investors.

I imagine a sig campaign would form part of our initial marketing strategy, yes.

Right now focus is on development, compliance & operations.

We're moving a-long incredibly quickly, considering inception was last month (but that was always the plan).

Still in discussions with the desired development company and waiting for the legal party to get back to me with a course of action but already covered a-lot of the particulars. I won't go into too much detail publicly.

Using the time now to contact further developers, communities, market makers and do some front-end dev work myself.

I'm also looking into the possibility of hiring a COO/CCO/CFO.

I've been busy with a variety of things.

I'd like to know more about Supporting this project. I think there is great scope for growth, but only with very careful planning and execution. I still feel there may be some challenges around getting that initial volume - and getting customers away from the established exchanges. Without submitting to the "Yobit" approach of listing hundreds of low volume coins.

I can see though you've given this a lot of thought and made good progress already. So congrats on a good job.

There are several interesting/innovative aspects to our commercial and marketing strategies. Yes of course a "Yobit" style list is out of the question. Not only from an image perspective but also each listing would need to undergo code reviews, legal clearance & blockchain risk reviews etc. Not to mention implementation & maintenance costs.

The exchange will initially be cryptocurrency pairings only - no fiat. Fiat is within our expansion plans though.

If we did create a coin it would likely be an ITO (initial token issuance). It is one of many options I'm considering.

What kind of fees will the exchange have? Will there be coin voting?

I doubt there will be coin voting. If there is it won't be any absolute guarantee of a listing as coins need to go through various reviews.

Fees will likely be industry standard 0.2/0.2 with a marker/taker schedule introduced eventually.

I'm thinking of starting with a reduced 0.1/0.1 though. Still to be decided.

well, the Idea is not bad at all. even there is already lots of exchanging platforms are already working here. but having a 2nd option always a good thing.

After some delays things are now coming together very nicely.

There has been several significant developments.

The new objective for launch is by the end of May at the earliest and the end of June by the latest.

There is literally too much news to write about.

We've come a long way from original post and lot's has changed.

There has been some delays mainly due to events outside of my control (e.g. third parties) and also changing the structure of certain aspects (e.g. development team & financing).

I'll hopefully launch an official announcement thread later this month or early July.
