Title: How to make Bitcoin transfer much faster - with Electrum wallet or in other way
Post by: Red Fish on March 10, 2017, 04:12:33 PM
Are there any ways how to make Bitcoin transfer faster with not too high transfer fee. I heard that Electrum wallet makes transfers much faster.  See more info on Electrum wallet here - https://electrum.org/#home

The wallet you use doesn't influence confirmation times, the blockchain doesn't know which transcations came from what wallet, so it's impossible for miners to prioritize txs from a certain wallet. The only thing that changes confirmation times is the fee, or a miner that likes you and includes your transaction. The fact that Electrum txs confirm faster is probably just a placebo  ;D

You can pay more fee -- OR you can make your transaction smaller in bytes -- pay only using 1 input and 1 output.

Trezor uses https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ API and with fee set to HIGH have never had a problem. New Electrum 2.8.0 is good also, just set fee slider to high and for insurance mark the transaction replaceable.
