Yes, there are people using these services yet. Surely the number of users decreased a lot since two years ago, as the rewards decreased without adsense income. The services are still alive and working, so there are people using them. Low profit, but useful for poor gamblers that don't have money to start betting with money from their pockets.

Yes people are still using it but not always. There are many unreliable faucet sites nowadays and instead of earning bitcoins you would only get headache, regrets and also waste of time.

Agreed, only a few people left that has been using faucet due to low btc received per claim. But i remember starting bitcoin thru faucet but then ended learning other ways to earn more. But i think faucet is good for poor gamblers or people who are starting just starting in bitcoin.

I still use one of them. Not much for winnings, but since my bitcoin start was through facets, I still play it, maybe because of a habit, or dedication to win higher payroll.

As of now, it's a time waster since the value of bitcoin rise up. It's better to do signture campaign than claiming faucets.

They are and they always will. There are always be people who need to earn extra money without investing and without using any skills. It is free from any kind of obligation... you dont have to do it every day, you can do it when ever you feel in a mood for it, you dont have to invest anything, you dont have any worries about will you do it right or so on...

Faucets and PTC sites are good for people from economically poor countries, where $10 practically worth a lot more then in America.

Personally, I still use Faucets and PTC sites, because I do it in my spare time. When I need to rest from everyday activities and duties, I sit by my computer and then (since I want to rest, not to work) I like to do something that useful but not taking any effort.

I just recently stopped bitcoin fauceting and also agree that it is a waste of time. Payouts from various sites have decreased making it not worth my time.

Milking faucets is not a good deal, at least for people living in EU/US, though I do believe it is a good way to move the first steps in bitcoin and altcoin, thus getting confident in using wallets and exchanges.

I do recommend all new bitcoin users to study the basics of security, specially how to do regular backups of your wallets/keys.

Better safe than sorry. Once you lose your keys, there's not way to recover you coins.

Totally agree with you. Now it is not profitable to earn bitcoins on these resources. It's a waste of time. It is easier to earn dollars, and then buy a crypto currency

almost all faucets are waste of time, but you can try mexiciantarget' faucets, they are just perfect, if you will be smarter and try hard for several week, you can earn 200-300 k satoshi from them every day. i think its best way to earn free satoshis without risk of lost any.

good luck and happy earning all

Sure, since the bitcoin price went up so much and FaucetBox.com is no longer alive, they aren't really worth it for most people. But if you have a lot of free time, why not? Some out there are a total waste of time, but if it offers you more than just a few satoshi, it's way worth it (lottery tickets, reward points, anyone?).

How closing of FaucetBox is connected with situation with faucets? It was just micropayment processor and now there are lot replacement that one.

While faucets are considered a waste of time to most people, it is important to consider that even the smallest of payments may be worth quite a bit in the future. Faucets have ALWAYS paid out very small amounts of bitcoin when comparing the payout rate to the value of bitcoin, but as the value of bitcoin grows so does the value of the payouts your got from faucets years ago. Imagine if you used faucets today and saved that BTC only to find that in 10 years bitcoin was worth $20,000. Would you still think those faucets were a waste of time? It's a game of patience and honestly, I don't think they are a waste of time if you don't have any bitcoin and want to earn some quickly for free. You won't be able to do much with it today, but just make a wallet and let it sit for a few years. Just make sure you own the keys to your wallet, because web wallets can and do disappear. With that being said, I want to share with you my Xapo faucets that offer instant payments to your xapo wallet. Yes, they are very low payout rates, but I tried to make them fun games so they are interactive and enjoyable. They also have no waiting times between claims.

Wheel of Bitcoin
Wheel of Bitcoin (http://wheelofbitcoin.com) (no waiting between claims)
Wheel of Bitcoin Android App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wheel_of_bitcoin.android&hl=en) (no waiting between claims + daily happy hour with 2X payouts between 4PM and 6PM PST!)

VidyBit
Get paid to watch videos (http://vidybit.com) (instant payment after watching video for 45 sec + no waiting between claims)
Get paid to watch videos on your phone (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vidybit.android&hl=en) (instant payment after watching video for 45 sec + no waiting between claims + 2X payout rate compared to web app version!)

Keno Bitcoin
Bitcoin Keno (http://kenobitcoin.com/) (no waiting between claims)
Bitcoin Keno Android App (http://kenobitcoin.com/app/bitcoin_keno_1.1.0.apk) (app was not approved to be listed in Google play because it was considered to be a gambling app rather than a mobile game  :'( and no wait between claims + no banner ads)

Coin Tasker Xapo Faucet
Coin Tasker Xapo Faucet (http://cointasker.com/bitcoin-faucet/) (60 minute wait between claims)

Maybe I am biased. I'm making this connection because most faucets that used FaucetBox payed a lot back then with a short cooldown (obviously because of the BTC price), I haven't looked around for other services like FaucetBox, but I did find one that you had to register and had lots of ads and was really annoying to use. *sigh* I just miss FaucetBox so much, can't deny.

It had nothing to do with FaucetBox, the claim rewards was practically the same as nowadays when compared it to its value. The average value of claim that any site could give you is always around $0.001, the same thing is with PTC sites too.

Freebitco.in is still alive and active. In fact, this faucet is now offering interest on deposits in addition to the faucet or gambling earnings. There's a dedicated thread with a lot of details.

For Newbies to Bitcoin faucets are great introductions. I think it serves a good purpose to introduce family and friends to Bitcoin as well...some catch the bug and look for more info and get it and others don't.

They are giving some less then 200 satoshi per 1 hour and interest is added to all balances above 30000 (which is also minimum for withdrawal)
