I'm not sure If you are speaking about the original bitcoin android wallet[1] or android wallets in general. It should be possible in both cases:

Otherwise, there is Mycelium[2] and they allow to import private keys as well. (If I had to choose, I would go with Mycelium)

I don't think that it is hard-working thing or any complicated thing .
If you have private key ( it is not a matter from where you got ) Then you can easily import in the blockchain wallet but you need to login through web browser . You just need to go in the settings and you will find adress preferences ( option of import/export adress) .
Second thing that I know is you can import in the mysellium wallet . Just download the mysellium wallet from playstore . After making a new account direct by click. You will found the symbol of key in upper right corner tap that key now see at below click at advance and then click at the clipboard ( but first copy the private key in the clipboard before import the private key otherwise clipboard option in wallet remain nom-highlighted .

I think the reason why You've unable to import your private key is because You're trying to do it with the wrong android wallets (Exchange based Wallets)  You should try Mycelium Bitcoin Android wallet. Since It's a non-exchange based wallet, It has the feature that allows importing of private keys.

Here's a link to the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycelium.wallet&hl=en
