This coin was created with NITHRIUS in mind.
In the year of our lord 2000+17 a pilgrimage shall be embarked on by a dedicated and passionate people. A people whose plight of financial bondage has weighed heavy on their necks. Nithrius is a digital ecosystem of retailer, merchants and consumers who have mustered their courage and pitched lot together.

I actually work with a few merchants who would like to take this coin as payment for their products, working to develop payment gateway platform which allows them to custom make their own PAY NOW button and the amount will instantly reflect what ever fiat to the exchange list price of NNC.

Working on something similar to Google Play which can be put into devices that developer can build apps on and sell for NNC. Auctions platforms as well and so much more.

So mine NNC now. It was intended to mint fast in the beginning to reward early miners. The emission rate dictate nearly 88% coin mined within the first 4 months; then the reward per block will be around 73 NNC and around 8 NNC after day 200. That will be good for price and leave enough time for projects in the pipeline to trickle about.

Due to the small size of the network, attacks can happen but don't worry, your NNC aren't gone but they can get locked up in orphaned transactions.
You might have to wait a day or two before following the guide.

GUIDE FOR GETTING BACK COINS LOCKED IN ORPHANED BLOCKS (MIGHT NOT WORK 100%):
1.Back up your wallet (create a copy of your wallet file).
2.Update your wallet to the latest version.
3.There are two possible ways to accomplish step 3:
3.0..Access your wallet through simplewallet without starting forknoted and type "reset", hit Enter.
3.1.If you have a wallet back up created before you sent the lost NNCs use that one in step 4.
4.Resync your wallet (Delete the nicnac folder in Users\User_Name\AppData\Roaming or simply rename it in order to have it in case things go wrong) and restart forknoted with the instructions from Readme.
5.After the wallet syncs, access your wallet through simplewallet and let it load all the blocks, now if you check your balance, all your money should be there (if not, wait some more time, 1-2 days and try following these steps again.

Why dev closed old thread?

The developer decided to move to their own forum, the link is in the ANN. I believe he has some kind of contracts with video creators and they will use NNC for payments. Maybe they'll use that forum for discussions on that matter but I'm not sure.

I have a problem.

I sent about 10 tx from one wallet to another. 2 of the transactions remains as unconfirmed in both wallets. I have waited a day and it remains as unconfirmed. I tried on both wallets to resync the chain from scratch and also to take an old backup of the wallet and let it run through the chain but it ends up as remaining unconfirmed. I also tried to do reset in both wallets with no luck.

Any ideas?

Yes I sent coins with this method except for the payment ID at the end. Both wallets are my own. All the transactions went through except 2 which are shown as unconfirmed on both sides in both wallets for over a day.

Is there a way to dump a private key from a cryptonote wallet and import it into a clean wallet?

I just don't get it so because he has a contract with someone to create something that means we need a new tokens, why can he be paid using Bitcoin or existing currencies again that doesn't justified having mine-able coin

Ok everyone, bad news. Somebody before me stated that their NNC are unconfirmed and they don't show in their wallets. I've also transferred about 50k NNC today and the same thing happened, they are gone. By looking at the blocks http://nnc.mypool.name/#pool_blocks you can see that about half of them are orphaned, this might be an attack.

I agree. It looks like this chain is screwed.

My coins that were lost were transferred in one of the orphaned blocks. Anyone at this point that transfers coins in one of the orphaned blocks will lose their coins as they will be subtracted from your wallet but not arrive on the other side. Dev will have to fix and relaunch the coin.

Maybe this wouldn't have happened if he kept up the development and that way the hashrate would've been going up (at some point it was 70kH/s). The mistake was leaving the community in here. Coin is screwed big time right now, I wonder what his choice will be, give up or start over.

The attack seems to have stopped for now, or it's certainly on a smaller scale. More miners are needed, also some larger buy orders have appeared on Cryptopia. We might be able to get over this unfortunate event of today, the "lost" NNCs should return to their rightful owners after the transactions get forgotten by the mempool, if I'm not mistaken.

In the end the attack that happened didn't ruin the network, it stopped and everything seems to be back to normal. All the NNCs should return to their owners after 1-2 days.

Once the transaction goes and then the rest of the amount is not.

Currently I'm having problems myself, apparently the orphaned blocks are still causing my NNC to be locked up as well. Gonna look into it.

Also your problem appears when you're trying to send NNC, I haven't encountered that before.

EDIT: I've updated my wallet, I am now getting the same error as you.

@olib, @andrew2k & @jc12345 you 3 have brains of true cryptonote noobs from read of posts here. Blochchain fine or pools would report of same issue due they make 4x as many send tx's you and many miners be affected but none have issues like this so issue is blockchain prevent dble spend attempt. You need update wallet forknote version two. Save all wallet and delete roamapp data and old wallet. Download new wallet from website which i check is now forknote version 2 and run forknoted to get DB blockchain and import wallet. Read whitepaper to gain knowledge and lack noob brains. I too mine nicnac is very good coin or cryptopia will not list to trade

We're waiting for the dev to bring in some updates. That's why there is no roadmap or anything similar at the moment. If he fails to do so maybe we'll have a community takeover, probably a name change as well lol.

Today atleast the price increased to 0.0000001 BTC else yesterday the price was even less. I can see many people selling their coins for a very less amount and hence there is not much growth in the price despite it having a good volume. Can we expect the price to increase to 0.000005 like before?

it seems to me that the pool is stuck and the chain is moving slowly in general.

nnc.mypool.name is stuck to block 36888 but other pool is work fine. I make email note to nnc.mypool.name already to make fix. Looks to someone make private pool to mine nnc without announce pool to noone. Maybe to store up on nnc before price increase way high. Yesterday I see hashrate go to 66Kh/s then drop to nothing.

What about your own coin? Are you still working on it? Diff is very low but I have one core working on it and getting blocks all the time. I hope its not for nothing  ;D

I think your assurances was all that was needed. I dont think that the purpose of the takeover suggestion was other than everyone thinking that you disappeared. With your assurances I dont think there is a need for any takeover.

By my MZB coin imake effect to join exchange soon. I too mine NNC and pay to be advertiser of banner on video player with NNC adserver. yesterday I made a transfer from one of my wallets to the other. Actually I made a few but one of them remains unconfirmed. The rest are OK.
Even now, after 24 hours still unconfirmed while later transactions came OK

I dont see the amount in the balance of the other wallet it came from either. It seems to be stuck . What do I do to get it back? Reset transactions does not seem to help

The same happened to me but after reset reappeared. It took almost 2 days but reappeared. You can also try to upgrade to forknote v2 if you have not already. Install the latest wallet.

Something is seriously fucked up.
I installed the latest wallet. I waited for it to go through the blockchain again. It seemed to be reading it from disk from the beginning because it was syncing very fast and reporting every 100 blocks or so.

Then I reset the wallet. And it seems to have stopped reading transactions afetr block 24000 or something. But I know I have been getting payments because before upgrading all those payments were showing.

Maybe I should delete everything in appdata and sync again from scratch. Using an early wallet backup too.

If that doesn't work, maybe I should go back to the previous forknote version. I was stupid enough to overwrite it but I hope I can find it somewhere

Yes. We have been advised that a full refund will be given which will be earmarked as allocated funds to be used on the next exchange listing.

Is there no way to make the network just drop it?

I am not able to withdraw my coins or sell them as I tried to download the wallet but it did not sync as well. Is it possible to send my coins to a counterparty wallet or if not possible, can I send my coins to you (I got total 1500 coins earned from translation and twitter bounty campaign). Is it OK if I send the coins to you and when the coin is listed on an exchange, you can return me those coins and I sell them on that exchange?

I think there are plenty and the coins still new. No need to worry.

Two weeks later, the coins I got locked in an orphaned block returned to me. It's funny that they came back to me now when the coin is no longer listed. Also, apparently the difficulty is still very high up even though the actual network speed must have dropped to around 2-4 Kh/s.

Since Cryptopia delisted NNC there is no real third party way for people to exchange NNC. If people are willing to trust me I can act as an escrow between the two parties. I could also create a thread and post the existing OTC orders in it. Also WTS 45k NNC @ 50 sat. If I get enough "orders" I'll make an OTC thread. PM me the orders you want to list.

I'm selling at 50 sat lol not 5. The wallet should be stable, the network can still be attacked due to the low network hashrate but all the transactions that got into orphaned blocks should unlock after some time (could be one day, could be a few weeks).

Not at the moment. We have three OTC orders, WTS 50K @ 50 sat, 50K @ 10 sat and WTB @ 5 sat (not sure about the amount he wants to buy).

Also I'm curious about how many of you would want a swap for a Scrypt PoS coin or some other algos. Since there are just a few miners the network is pretty weak and susceptible to attacks.

Difficulty has actually gone up in the last few days.

How are you going to swap when the dev said he hasn't abandoned the coin?
He even has a release of a gui wallet planned for the 15th of this month according to the homepage.

from previous posts I thought the dev had abandoned this coin, thats what happens when you only read the current page I guess. if he hasnt and theres active development then theres no need people are probably worried because he hasnt logged in for a few days

We are waiting for new developments to arrive. I won't do anything until I see clearly that the dev isn't working on the coin anymore. What I'm still waiting for is the new website design and some more information about Nithrius.

Final refund of initial DOT used to purchase Cryptopia listing has been returned and we will soon begin the sale of 1 million DOT to convert it into BTC and shortly after will be returned to investors and put to vote which exchange, (if any) we may purchase a listing for NNC.

The final decision on the status of NNC lies with our financial investors and core community of supports. Why would you need two tokens? Won't that in practice make NNC obsolete?

That's what I'm also thinking, we should have some kind of swap or something. You can't let all the mining power that was used go to nothing.

NNC and NIT will remain two seperate currency and no swap is in plan for one currency in exchange for the other.

Yes the chain is very healthy. There was a day spike in hashrate due to speculation of a possible swap of NNC to NIT and once confirmation came that there would be no swap th the network hash rate dropped from 36 Kh/s to 7 H/s; this spike cause Network diff to jump. The network will internally adjust Diff according to hashrate with each additional block mined.

NNC was submitted for (3) different exchanges within the past 24hours and more listing requests are scheduled in the future.

Probably NovaExchange, YoBit and no clue about the third one, Mercatox, TradeSatoshi?

The specific exchanges will be kept under wraps until we get a definitive answer and can post complete details. The last thing we intend to do is spark a war of words regarding which exchange is better than the other. Hopefully this process will not take to long. We will post updates as we get them

thats understandable I guess, as long as said exchange respond to devs and are reputable you shouldn't get much drama :D

As far as I know NovaExchange and YoBit do not support the CryptoNote algo.
Therefore, it seems that it should be other exchangers.
 

Ugly then, since I don't see Poloniex and Bittrex in sight and Cryptopia delisted it. We'll see, hoping for the best.

Looks a bit dead to me. A swap or some news about the GUI wallet or anything at all would be nice.

I surely did not expect that. It's something along the lines of "if we can't get any exchange to accept us, we'll make our own". If you guys pull this out and it goes smoothly, I'll take back everything negative I've said before such as "dead coin" and all that. I'm really looking forward to what you'll achieve.
