Using Starbucks mobile app to order is the best and easy way to redeem the free items. This way, you can customize your drink the way you want and also avoid waiting at the store if you order ahead. You can also redeem in store, but YOU MUST tell the cashier that you are using a free drink code, otherwise they will scan it as a regular account balance then just tell you you don't have any balance on the card.

Tagging this so I can try it out. My starbucks are closed for a while, sadly. If it's true this does indeed sound 100% better than trying to use gift cards and all that weird jank. For personal consumption items, obviously you wouldn't be able to buy non edible products in store with these.

I am interested in this, but have a few questions. What was the source of the free drinks ? Is it from the birthday reward, or are these hacked accounts of people who have a free drink because of points they have accumulated ?

It's not hacked - these are the BDay rewards.

Thanks for the reply. Out of curiosity, doesn't starbucks ban accounts created on the same device  to exploit using their birthday rewards ?

I don't see why can't anyone just create multiple accounts and set tomorrow as their birthdate and receive a free drink.
