I think I might switch over to feather coins for a couple of days just because of all the hype.

Post by: Yurizhai on April 22, 2013, 02:37:56 AM If you aren't getting HW ( Hardware Errors ) I wouldn't pay too much attention to the coinotron hash rate. Half the time I check it it's 25%-50% of my rate, other times it's 100-150% of my rate, I think it gets your real rate over time it just doesn't keep up well.

As difficulty increases and more miners appear the profit margins will get tighter and these small percentage differences will be all that is left for profits. Its like what happens in the big exchanges. First it was program trading, then high frequency trading for fractions of a fraction of a penny. Only the big traders will be able to turn that profit. [/quote] I agree entirely. I did forex for a while for fun and even doing 100:1 leverage it is still hard to turn much of a profit without a huge nest egg. I fear asic mining will bring that to BTC relatively soon. i did forex for a while too about 5 - 7 years ago. never went 100:1 I was alway 20:1 and was a dividend hunter. played the NZD/JPY JPY/USD for the cashflow before the housing market collapsed and everything went to hell. I never liked the daytrading aspect. But I'm seeing this as a ground floor opportunity. Cryptocurrencies smells a lot like the late 80s early 90s of daytrading when people ran trading pools and were quitting their jobs to daytrade for a living. But I have a couple machines now mining PPC. I kinda like this one. I like the methods behind it. I would be interested in LTC if it was still mainly mined using CPU instead of GPU.
