Just wanted to give the community a heads up. The "developer" that just finished ripping the community off for 28 BTC last week with marijuanacoin is so greedy that he is now trying to pull the exact same stunt not even a week later. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1827213.0 He is using the exact same theme and font as the marijuanacoin website and once again trying to get some ICO money from the community. There is a login, registration and database there. Marijuaneum website is a pure HTML + JavaScript. There is no DB server or other software than light webserver installed. Seriously, what did you expected with a coin named marijuanacoin, i am not the kind of guy who judges coins by their name, but here, it was smelling scam at 100 km around. People should have more serious criterias regarding their investments, in this case, regulation would have been usefull, especially to retrieve people's money. I had a look at this new project, i am sure it is annother scam but should check if both are related. By the way, could someone move this post to the scam section ? Not sure from your post if you're taking about marijuanacoin MAR or Marijuaneum XMJ which this thread is about. You use marijuanacoin MAR in your post. Any coin can be a scam, but MAR actually looked good. Had a great wallet, website was nice and integrated with a web wallet, roadmap was do-able, custom block explorer, and he did the burn of the unsold coins. IMO the coin was pretty good. I even overlooked that he left his first coin NUC. Marijuaneum XMJ on the other hand, is a total scam. MAR's dev fled with the ICO coins, read the other posts. Besides of that, do you know who made the wallet ? You should check this post, most of the wallets here have been made for scam projects : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1434314.0 This guy is making most of the nice wallets you find in these ICO projects, does a nice wallet means the project is legit ? no, why ? i am an early miner of Ethereum, and when it started we had to download two files, Geth and Eth, Geth been the RPC client for mining, and Eth the wallet and syncing client. Look at what it is today, but it means that a project with an ugly/basic wallet can be as legit as a long time established project's wallet.
