Title: First review of the Bitcoin Encylopedia now on Bitcoin.com
Post by: elianite on March 15, 2017, 07:35:31 AM
I figure some of you on the collectible board might be interested inn seeing this!

https://news.bitcoin.com/review-encyclopedia-physical-bitcoins-crypto-currencies/

"In his highly detailed and exhaustive catalog of physical cryptocurrencies, Ahonen takes us on a journey from the very first attempts to produce these physical coins, cementing his place as one of the first ‘bitcoin historians'."

"Collectively, these coins represent the rich material history of early bitcoin and cryptocurrency that Ahonen has meticulously detailed in this book."

"Last April, after a signed copy was lost en route to Singapore, Ahonen flew to the buyer from Canada to personally sign a copy"

Cheers!   ;D

NICE! Yeah, this is a great book for any cryptocoin collector. Elianite has produced the standard in documenting the coins, the history, and the "industry of physical cryptocoins".

There's also a series of autographs from most of coinmakers featured in the book that's selling on the Forum. A nice addition to anyone's collection!

Congrats on getting some publicity. I really enjoy the books, but refuse to actually read it in fear of making creases on the pages lol...

Thanks for the free plug.   There's a few left I believe of the Auto Ed. books from Elianite as well as a few loose sets of autographs / holos available from me (for those already with a hardcover or softcover book).

Thats why you need two books.  One to read and one to keep mint.   ;D

@elianite, @bithalo...you both do great work, an endorsement is the least I could do!

(That goes for all the coinmakers too, without whom there'd be no content for the book!)

Are issues of the Encyclopedia getting low? If someone wants a copy, either for mint storage or coffee table casual display, is there risk of time running out?

If people need to act now, you gotta tell us!   ;D

The encyclopedias themselves will be on sale for the foreseeable future, through coinfirm.org, Amazon, or perhaps your local bookstore's online catalog.
If you want something more than a 'boring' normal book, ask minerjones: he should have some signed copies. You may also be aware of the 'Autographs Edition' with over 31 autographs and lots of holograms from various makers. There are 3 or so of those left if I recall.

Also, I'm going to announce this here first: The book has been updated. The 'Revised Hardcover' books that some of you received are now Limited Edition; no more than ~50 exist and none will be printed in the future. It contained some image errors, and all newly ordered books under that name/ISBN will be without those errors.
If you want one of those books, talk to minerjones as i believe he has a small number remaining.
