You bring up a good issue, is dash a scam.  I would say yes. ponzi scheme

there is nothing we can do about it, when whale decided to pump then they're going to pump, just hope we're already on the boat and jumping off at the right moment before the boat sink. there are ton of these useless crap coins which are worth billions and hundred of millions, we can't stop it to rise and there is no point to stop it. it's their money. after many years here on bitcointalk, this is what i have learned, just start throwing your shit(btc) everywhere and hope someday one of it would hit the fans.

I have a feeling, this pump will be the exit strategy of Dash instantmine developers or one of them, if you have 200 masternodes with the present market price 200*1000*$100= $20000000. This is what is called a life changing money

Eth is more scam than Dash as it don't even have a reasonable working wallet, not many people able to use it but the pump going mental.

It would be more incentivized to hold it all and live off the masternode earnings when a dash token is worth a million each in a decade

In reality that happening in crytp world, there are people that taking risk just for profits even a certain altcoin or those on ICO can have an unusual behaviour in the long run. It's like playing the game that doesn't have difference when doing gambling.

My concern here is the new ones or should I called them, an average user in crypto world. Once they sees some alt showing an interesting and incredible pumps, they will consider it as "worth coin to invest" without looking at all sides of the object. 

Then don't blame Dash.
Both are scams and in the same category, altcoin.

They also pretend that coinjoin snake oil is even more secure when you have trusted nodes seeing inputs and outputs that can be run by anyone with 1000 coins, anyone includes law enforcement by the way.

This pump has been finished now and new bag holders will cry to having this shit because nobody know when they will get another chance or not.

100$ was target for the pump group. This is all controlled by malaysian cartel. Next coin they will pump is probably Doge or Digibyte!

I remember people talking the same about Bitcoin when it went up. It is not to say that Dash or any other crypto is not a scam. It is about credibility of the project. BTC proved to be credible despite recent problems within the community. In regard to rise of Dash I think that the main reason of it is very expansive marketing. It gets attention and skyrockets.

I'm sure many cartels might be involved in scams such as dash.  More details would be good here for that.  We know that Dash is a ponzi scheme.

ETH is a bigger ponzi scheme which involved deep pocket bankers. I think Dash going to catch up with ETH soon, another wave of Dash pump going to push it over 1billion marketcap soon.

Regarding the pre-mine, yeah it was a mess up. But compared to shady things other altcoins devs have done over the last 5 years, its quite minor.

You lose credibility (at least to a rational observer), when you claim that your coin has a decentralized governance system, but the project is a staking system that exasperated the percentage of control with an instamine (an instamine the developers refused to rollback) and a coin reduction. Those are observable facts that can be correlated with the coin's design and its blockchain.

You are supposed to trust that the developers sold the coins to achieve redistribution, but not supposed to trust the observable design that creates centralization <--that's stupid.

"oh i've been scammed by DASH and i lost money!!1!" - said no one ever  ::)

its happen to many traders when they see that DASH price is going down and it makes them to gets panic and then they sold their DASH stok for instant. but i think, its not good to do this because we should know that if the price is increase, there will be a correction for the price and its always to get down for a moment.

a pity if the Dash would Scam, whereas the increase in the selling price to the BTC was amazing.
I even also planning to hold this coin much longer
