Do ethereum will ever become digital gold like Bitcoin?

The purpose of ethereum is not to become an alternative currency and that's why you never see ethereum integrated in your local shop.

Do you think that you will use ethereum as a token and gass for contracts?

I don't think so, it's valuable for developers, but not for average investors.

Let's analyse and ask questions.

Who are working to become better?
Who innovates?
Who are game changers?
Who stops progressing?

We have allot of factors that determines the future of altcoin.

What ethereum is doing is only fixing bugs and attracting more ignorant sheepless investors.

What Bitcoin is doing is not respecting my experience, users experience, i have send 15k in Bitcoin and i paid almost 200$.

If Bitcoin would have what Dash have, i would keep using Bitcoin.

Dash deserves to be much more respected in forum.

If bankers are pumping this, then this is just the begining of the price rise

They are doing this because they compete for investors, businesses compete for investors, countries compete for investors...

1) To high price of oil people are looking for alternatives
2) Low price of ETH people buy ETH for services

Imagine in decentralized system store so much data as ETH will need
BTC have problem with 1MB while ETH want do everything from domains to dividends.
After 3-4 years blockchain size will be like 100-200GB in 10 like 10TB or more.
Eth will migrate to 3-4 bigdata centers but it won't be no longer decentralized.
More Daps more space resources needed CPU/SSDs.
Imagine scan 2TB for data records in sensible time !

Cost changing i remember that devs were hard forking some stuff to rise costs of some operations.
Imagine u run contract and you have ammount of ETH and gas then they rise cost and you dap stuck/stop.

I don't know.. I invested in eth when is was 16$ and now it's 40 already, so I'm really happy about it. And I didn't invest just because the price started growing. I read and watched some stuff on ETH and realized that it is actually a very good platform and coin. I think it will become as good as bitcoin is. Only some security problems have to be solved and eth will be just great.

last time I checked the size was about 4 months ago and blockchain size was 60+GB in a non-prune mode (or whatever they call it in ethereum world) and it is rising at an alarming rate. I think it should be about 80 to 90 GB today. and in 3-4 years it can easily be 200 GB or more.
this is what most people who are so happy about fast altcoins forget! and that is the size of the blockchain and how fast it grows. imagine ethereum having the same or even half the number of transactions bitcoin has and remember that block time is about 14 seconds.
now imagine if ethereum is attacked with spam transactions the same way bitcoin is!

I agree mostly with TS, people are seeing ETH as something it is not when they decide to buy it.

I do not agree with TS that it is not a good investment opportunity. If there is clear positive momentum, smart traders can make a nice profit by investing for up to a few days in this.

I'm staying mostly away from it, as I got burned by the hard fork, but remember that any alt rising like this will pave the way for the other alts as well. Without ethereum at 3 billion market cap, no other will come close to 1 billion and they will stay stuck at 100mil.

It can't be as good as Bitcoin because the purpose of Ethereum is not similar to Bitcoin.

I understand price rise in Dash, because of evolution project, governance system, fast transactions, but Ethereum haven't done any improvements.

If price keeps rising it does not mean that Ethereum code is becoming better, you can't do anything with ethereum if you are not a developer.

We can use Dash and Bitcoin in online shops, but we can't do that with Ethereum.

If i would not know what is happening behind the scenes, then Ethereum would look like nice investment.

I am sure that any other person who don't know what is happening behind the scenes is not capable to explain why Ethereum price is rising...

Take a close look at this guy. Like him there are many, people that don't research enough and that are usually easily lured into scams like dash, etc and so on. They look at these projects, and they think of them as payment systems / coins. That's why they will never understand why ether's value is still increasing. Reasons are many, i personally tried to explain as much as i could, but it's like spit in the wind with these guys. Let him wonder. At 10billions ethereum's cap he will panic and tell everyone some other project is a better payment system because they have X feature.

Sorry - only a lot of questions, but no analysis.
The people of ethereum are innovating. They are developing ideas, which are nowadays state of art and flying around of a lot of brains. Ethereum is catching that and is bringing that to code. And they do lots of marketing. Why? To get in touch with people, who have the possibilities to implement their ideas. To make them know, what is possible. To make them know, who and what they are. And to earn money - of course. Without money, the best idea is nothing. I hope, the people of ethereum will earn al lot of money, so they can push their ideas with.

I have the impression, Frodomaga, that you are missing some powers of imagination. And because of that, you can't recognize it, when other people have these skills.

Ehther actual could be pumped. Yes. Could be pumped like the hole altcoin market after the etf decision. Lots of money was transfered from btc to other coins, pushing them all up. Seeing this collectiv rise, people got crazy and poured more money in the market. Now everything is going up.
Good projects will profit. Because good projects will take this money to light the next stage of their rocket.
I think, ethereum will do so.

And of course:
It is absolutely normal, that the market could cool down. And it will. Also the price of ether.
But I don't care.
Just bought it, when it was cheap...

Any smart investor would wait ETH to go at least 100% up from now and then sell it. You think you are smart, because you know it's investors bumping price so you won't buy any ether.  And now, I also know that, but Ill also make money on it.  I guess that makes me a little bit smarter than you and your well known "smart investors".

I think we have smarter people than me in these forums, but i am smart enough to not go all in Ethereum, 4% of my investments are in Ethereum
