The price of bitcoin fell back to $1,070! I think now is the best time to buy bitcoin. Though it may fell further to this $1,050. The people bank of china released the draft of guidelines to bitcoin exchangers and I think that is the reason price is reacting. May the God of bitcoin be with us.

China is no longer a significant matter when it comes to the price. At this point it's BU that is putting a heavy load of pressure on the price. Other than that, if you already have some coins that you are satisfied with, then just wait on the side lines to see where the price will settle in the coming days. If you have no coins at all, or cashed out the majority at +$1200 levels, then you can buy back some. Just make sure you have fiat ready to be used in case the price happens to tank further.

This is not due to PboC it is due to Bitcoin Hardfork which is going to happen and this is the reaction for that  but china is getting benefit as they are in short position so now they can come out of their position due to price going down.

Yeah, if the threat of a hard fork becomes more prominent it might result in a further fall in price, especially if it actually happens and your coins are split into two new forms.  It might be an ideal time to buy right before the hard fork if you think you're quick enough to sell the coin that you believe will be less popular right after the hard fork happens.

If you watch what happened to ETH when they had their hardfork on the peak of the hype due to the DAO disaster and splitted into ETH and ETC, the lost a big share of hash power and it depressed the price for more than half a year. The price went down from 0.028 to 0.008 and its just catching up now.

not actually the best time to buy now that there are coins almost reaching their way up. you'd rather be investing to these coins particularly Dash. with just hundred you can already have one when you need a thousand and more to only have 1 btc.

The price touched $1050, so people who have been waiting long to make big number of bitcoin on price fall could have made some buying. I think there will be price increase as the price has moved forward from $1050 to $1070 in a short time interval.

There is no doubt that price will bounce back sooner. I don't know why but whenever price are stable there is always some news which suppress the price downwards of 200-250 $ range and then market recovers. I think this is new way of making profit and without anything contrarily yes this opportunity to get some nice profit in coming days.

As what I am seeing by the price right now, the safe price to buy is $1450 since I am basing on a $1000 buy or sell wall. For me that is the safest amount to bid. And in terms of selling, again the $1000 wall. The price that is safest to bid in the sell options is $1189.

Though reaching your bid/ask will take some time (usually takes a day before cycling). I can assure that would generate some profit and assurance in your invested money.

What you actually serious i thought this price drop was just normal maybe because of high price but again china is behind this. I just hope china gets a life and let us earn or make even more profit with bitcoin plus i agree that 1070$ is actually a really good price.

Manipulation is always when market moves against a trader. It moves up - traders scream manipulation, it moves down - traders scream manipulation, it moves down but not enough - traders scream manipulation.

It might be the best time to buy,but it`s very difficult for me to sell my bitcoins.
All the localbitcoins buyers just wait and don`t respond to my trade requests.
I guess that they are waiting for even further price decrease and that`s why they don`t want to buy.

Bought when it was $1094 but that was the lowest I got them for just 9 hours ago cause my exchange rate for bitcoin is tied to the bitstamp price. :-\

you only think that because you are not looking deep enough into what people say. obviously some people are full of it no matter what they say. but mostly when people say manipulation there is a reason behind it.
example:
- when ETF rejected and price dropped, it was obviously manipulation. use your brain. why should it drop? was ETF necessary for bitcoin? was ETF a fundamental thing for bitcoin?
- when price dropped in the past 2 days what was the reason? was there really a fork? did bitcoin split? did BU have enough hash power to even be remotely close to a fork? does even fork mean split?

the answer to all above answers with a little bit of brain power is NO which leaves us with only other explanation: manipulation

this is true about price rise also. when price goes from x to x +20%x in 1-2 days it is a pump. when price increases 130% in 5 minutes (check altcoins) it is obviously manipulation.

Price may bounce back again and yes current price range is really good entry point. Panic that was created due to growing support for bitcoin unlimited shouldn't be issue now, because BTU will be behaved just as another altcoin.

How much cheaper do you expect BTC to drop. I don't think BTC will drop below $1000 now, you want cheaper coins them maybe buy some ETH or XMR they are also doing pretty good since last few days.

Good luck with that. We are moving up right now beause of the ABC wave formation. Wave A and B are finished and after b there is always a recovery line before moving further down. Wait for it.

I am thinking of doing the exact same thing. I cashed out some profits above $1200 and even above $1300 (even though it wasn't a lot that I cashed out above $1300).

How can I say no to a minimum of 20% discount? But as always, I never buy with all funds I have. I prefer to buy in smaller portions as that will basically allow me to buy all the way down.

the lowest price of today was $1052.7 on bitfinex and $1056.3 on bitstamp and at least for the moment it seems like going down has stopped and will soon becomes too late to buy cheap coins when price jumps back up above $1200 again.

bitstamp touched $1000 and bitfinex $1001. i am interested in seeing how long the $1000 mark will hold. obviously, that dump could have easily pushed the price below $1000 but that wasn't the intention (yet). congratz to those that had low $1000's buy orders open. quick profits.

As I have said in the previous thread, I can't still made up my mind on why the sudden dump on bitcoin. ETF is a non-factor, we already proved it, BU issue probably, but as you have said, maybe not. Winklevoss twins or other entity entities "maybe" behind this price manipulation. But if Winklevoss doing it, but why now? Why not after 2 days after the rejection? is there an secret entity or entities who are really behind this price manipulation? I don't know. Maybe you are right. this is the correct price of bitcoin after the ETF and not %1200-1300 as we have. My speculation is that after ETF, the base price is $900, and we are near that price right now.

This is unexpected news. Current price decline occurred in all bitcoin exchange. bitcoin prices experienced a greater decline in recent days, and has not been seen to be an increase again. need some great news to be able to increase the price of bitcoin back on the stock exchange.

I agree with you although for me this is yet another ordinary day in crypto-currency world. I do hope that we see a price rise soon but for now if it drops to sub 1000$ im gonna stockpile a little and if it goes down to 500$ levels again that I think would be possible but has only little chance to be seen again, I will really gonna buy a lot. For now im watching the price movements.

I hope that it is true but when it comes to bitcoin you cannot predict anything as you do not know what is going to happen,but in the case of ETH fork we were informed before hand about the fork and the split and i do hope if there is anything we will be informed earlier and why there is a manupulated correction now when they had all the chances to go down when the SEC rejected the ETF. I am not sure whether it is a good time to buy ,i will rather wait out and make a decision.

It wasn't that unexpected. BU drama was hanging in the air for quite some time, where the effects are being felt right now. People are unsure what will happen, where many of them don't even know what the effect will be of a potential chain split. At this point there isn't really any news that market can use to make a jump up. Especially when you consider that the market isn't really news driven anymore (beside the occasional events that get hyped up).

Don't let your USD go for cheap. You worked hard to get all those Benjamin's. Let it go lower and lower. Let them bleed. Let them cry. Let them beg you to buy their useless 1's and 0's. I would say 600$ is a nice price to enter. All in when it hits 400$.

People/users with BTC don't see any end soon to the BU/Core issue and infighting.  Why risk funds even more.  Some pulling out to buy other coins now instead like ETC, others just taking their cash and holding until resolved (did some here bit ago).

Always the risk that this could permanently destroy trust in BTC thus recovery won't occur for long time, 1-2 years...  definitely destroyed already trust from any institutional interest.

Not sure what is going on, look on CoinMarketCap and you'll see like 90% of the top 100 Altcoins are on negative change in the last 24h. I think China affected the price the most.. My question is how many times will they try to investigate the Bitcoin users..? People are getting afraid of being investigated, and being tracked through Bitcoin is against its core features..

I would rather buy bitcoin rather than risking in investing in coins that are hanging at a all time high valuation and i am not stupid enough to invest in those ,if you look back people have lost a lot of money when they invested in litecoin when the bubble started expecting that the coin will hit the moon and majority of the people lost a hell lot of money when the coin came crashing down and never took off since.

Price is below 1000 now and I think this is the best time to buy bitcoins as it may go higher tomorrow and it won't come back to same level again so we should grab this opportunity of buying coins at lower price and hold it till it goes higher.

I really agree with you that now is a very good time to buy but don't go all in yet it might go down a little more before rising up to 1200$ levels again. I would still let it settle a little bit. The price is now in the oversold territory, but it may still stay there for a longer while, same as it happened with the most recent bull.

I do agree, I still remember litecoin reaching 0.04+ BTC.  Lots of Litecoin enthusiast were so happy that time and think that the rise would continue and thinking that Litecoin may posibly replace Bitcoin.  But where is Litecoin now?  It goes deep, almost 1,000% less than its ATH (http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/pair/ltc/btc/btc-e/alltime).

bitcoin prices have declined fairly. This is a great time to buy a lot of bitcoin. we know that bitcoin will be increasingly sought after and used by people. bitcoin prices will rise again, I'm optimistic this will happen.

It was now at $1,031 and it varies up to $1,050 and I haven't seen around that it pumped higher, so for those people who are expecting low.

I guess your turn is already done, it did happened last week that the price went up to $980 and right now it's starting to become ready and fly again up to the moon.

I can't say I'm not disappointed that the price went so far down below $1300, but I wouldn't get my hopes too high just yet about the price flying to the moon. I'm glad that we're still stable hovering above $1000, but if we do increase, it'll probably just be slow and steady from here. The issue with the miners is definitely an impediment regarding bitcoin's overall stability and profitability, and I hope it'll get resolved soon.

Now that it's gone up a fair bit it's not so reasonable to buy.  It was a lot lower when the BU hashrate was clearly rising and a hard fork was more likely on its way, but after that $980 price I don't expect it to go up for quite a while (until scaling disputes are resolved, if they are).

I can't ask for more and it's too good to see that price is still landing at better price after it's crash.

And I'm pretty sure that a lot of hoarders manage to take the advantage and buy good quantity of bitcoin.

Well, I bought some on 980$ price and I'm on profit right now. I'm glad that i never hesitate to bag some of it. But i think there is still upcoming bitcoin dump . I sense that something will gonna come up soon. So better to be prepared money to buy dump bitcoins. Just keep on believing guys.

Lucky you because you did not hesitating to buy at 980$ each bitcoin. There will really be a dump soon I feel it too especially now that the debate between BU vs Core is happening. I expect that some series of dumps will occur until that debate is finished but I think it would take long before we even see the ending of BUvsCore debate. We might see pumps too but it will never move up to new ATH unless the debate is finished.

With the current movement in the price of bitcoin $980 is a good price to enter but i am not confident enough to invest that much into bitcoin at this moment of time because of the debate of BU and Core and with BU trying for a 51% attack and with the uncertainity i do not expect to see any pump but i am a bit cautious in this stage.

Its hard to hear about forking is back. Just hope we do not dip in the price chart. Price now shows that we just stable in the 1000$ and more. It will be the base price for this year. As you said we may see the forks in the upcoming month but soft fork only.

You shouldn't be listening to what others are saying. At this point there is nothing like a fork that will happen in the comings months. Everything is pure speculation and trolling done to make people panic sell their coins. BU enjoys fake support just to scare off people, and most likely to force some sort of a compromise solution from the side of the core devs. No one (mining farms) will intentionally harm himself with the result of swallowing millions in losses.

if you want to buy a bitcoin, you can buy anytime you want, depending on your destination. if you believe in bitcoin, and want to invest, perhaps to buy a lot of bitcoin now be better before you buy when the price is son in high amounts, or is above the current price.

It's given that there would be bitcoin dump but that's normal and it will happen again after that the price will recover again as usual.

I have given a full focus on the pricing trend of bitcoin price and according to my calculations the price of bitcoin will now not drop down but it will rise to a few hundreds like it will reach to more than $1400 and after that it will drop down a little like then it will drop to $1200.

I don't think the price goes down anymore as the segwit support is increasing randomly causing a price manipulation. Most users now think the real missing of good opportunities for the buying at low prices. Even with, this users can benefit as regular fluctuations have been going on.

The price dropped for a while from $1,095 it is now at $1,078 but I know that it will be pumping again and just balancing everything.

And I hope that the price will be reaching at $1,400 or even $1,200 that will be one of the best price so far after this drop.

I'm waitint it to drop into $800 again same as the price as bitcoin volitile in the first week of january 2017. I can say that is the greatest opportunity to buy bitcoin. As of now, butcoin is spiking again and we expect it could spike at the highest point again.

As I remember bitcoin dropped even lower after that date. So it never has to be accepted directly if somebody here writes "time to buy bitcoins!", cause of the price is changing every day.

Even if price is changing that doesn't make any difference if you are going to hold your bitcoins for next couple of years and in that case any price is a good price to buy bitcoins as in long run we will surely see the higher price of bitcoins so I think even the current price is a good price to buy some bitcoins.

Yeah bitcoin will probably not go much higher than the current price as people are still expectant about what will happen regarding one of the hottest debates in the history of bitcoin, so until that is resolved I don’t think we are going to see a much higher price.

It could be LTC's turn to get pumped after DASH and ETH. It seems that Litecoin is always lagging behind the other major altcoins.

Now it gets closer for an pumping in an unexpected time. Litecoin getting signaled with segwit activation helps go higher in value than the past rise of few of the altcoins such as the eth and dash. The growth seems to cross 50% and more in a very short time. This might now happen with litecoin.

Right now it's just the beginning. I expect Litecoin to touch a price anywhere from $15-$20 in the coming months. I must however state that it will be a short term price increase, where after that the price will fall down and probably settle somewhere around the $5-$8 levels. It will be nothing more than a test since Litecoin doesn't bring anything else that can be seen as useful. Litecoin is just there, what else can you say about it?

I sold a portion of my bitcoin already yesterday thinking there will be an incoming dump.
I might be wrong but I think with patience I can somehow buy again at the right time.

I have a feel that one should wait to buy Bitcoins. As with all news of segwit and hard folk and Bitcoin unlimited picking up, a fall looks imminent. I always believe one should buy at every fall and try and average his coins. That's the only way it will ever work. If you want to buy I would suggest to buy Lil at every fall. It will be interesting to see where the Bitcoin picks up from now. This will be one of the most interesting year ever for Bitcoin due to Bitcoin unlimited.

Well, I am disagree with you, Because as you said bitcoin was $1070, it is not a low price of bitcoin. It is too high price, if anyone buy the bitcoin in this price than wait for cross above $1300. So it will be hard to earn profit from its price.

Bitcoin has slowly recovered its price after the crazy week we had because of BU so it seems that for those that want to take advantage of a huge price drop so they can buy cheap bitcoin seems to have passed but don’t worry there are always be new opportunities for us to buy bitcoin at a good price.

If you look at how the market has been moving, then right now could seem like a great buying opportunity has gone away. But as you also pointed out, there will be enough other opportunities to benefit from dumps. Especially when you take into consideration the fud that right now has been pushed to the background. In the background doesn't mean it has gone away. From there I wouldn't be surprised to see a dump taking the price down to around $1100, or even close to the $1000 level again.
