Title: Cant get bios mod to work on MSI Gaming RX 480 4GB Post by: Etherion on March 18, 2017, 10:29:41 AM feels like i have read a years of stuff about bios modding but some reason I am not getting this right.
I have 4 MSI Gaming RX 480 4GB Hynix. I get stable 22 Mhs on Claymore 8 stock rom and no overclocking. So I tried to mod one of the cards but after flashing the moded bios and restarting the card does not work. On windows 7 64Bit. AMD 16.12.2 used PolarisBiosEditor 1.4 AMD/ATI ATIFlash 2.74 1500 value copy into 1750 and 2000 1425 value copy into 1625 1375 value copy into 1425 and into 1500 any suggestions? I just used this guide https://steemit.com/ethereum/@yogibear/mine-more-ethereum-with-rx470-rx480-bios-mods Step 1 get the bios from the card using atiflash Step 2. use PolarisBiosEditor to edit the straps Step 3. Flash the bios to the card. I modded the core voltages, straps, fan speeds and power limits. if you don't want to do it yourself just down anorak https://anorak.tech/t/anoraks-vbios-collection-optimized-settings-for-performance-power-saving/13 You can boost the mem speeds to get some more hash. but it makes the cards hot so it is up to you. |
