i think is very dificult and long time if bitcoin price can reach 2000 dollar
before problem about block size, bitcoin unlimited and more finish and clear bitcoin price can stagnant and stable 900 - 1200 dollar/bitcoin

2000$ is still easily possible without Segwit. Only we need to use bitcoin on a different way than we use it nowadays.Not like a paying system but as a safe heaven for fiat money like gold. It happens more and more often in African country's and Latin-America. All country's with weak fiat money are using bitcoin more and more. This alone will push the mighty bitcoin to 2000$ easily.

It is possible but not easy without segwit or anything that will fix the scalability issue of Bitcoin.  Bitcoin will naturally increase in price.  Due to the saturation effect of it.  but it will take longer without fixing bitcoin's scalability.

The price isn't particularly dropping too much, I'm quite surprised about how stable it is considering the very real possibility of a HF happening soon (not that I necessarily think this is a bad thing but the split would leave a lot of fear and uncertainty with some Bitcoiners about where it's going to go).

@Technicality, the drop in price will not go down too low :o

Those having more bitcoin will have no course to worry

Have you notice whats happening right now. Bitcoin price decreasing so fast i dont know what is the cause of it. Maybe some sellers have panic and dumps all thier bitcoin.

Currently the price is around 1025$ and falling rapidly so it is possible to repeat the situation of a few days ago.It is possible that someone has sold larger amount of BTC and that the markets have reacted like this.

In light of the possible hard fork certain percentage of users will sold their BTC and wait for development of the situation if the hard fork happens.In any case, given the current situation price of 1000$+ is more than good for me.If hard fork happens with two coins/chains price is likely to be well below what we've got now.

For now don't see $2000 in sight ever in near-term.  The "safe haven" that Bitcoin could be is not safe at all with the threat of a fork still looming.  That needs to pass first.  Beyond that, the use/adoption increase would help too but that won't grow much either until the fork issue with BTU passes.

There is just too much risk now of a fork, even if it is a bad idea and miner/centralized with nodes hosted on VMs.  It is an attack on the assets right now and people don't want to get into BTC with that occurring - safer staying in USD/fiat, gold, etc.

This fork issue needs to be squashed ASAP.  I would say compromise would be good but expanding blocks doesn't do much long-term obviously.  2nd layer seems to be the solution.  Thus Core/Segwit make more sense for now with lightening, others on top.  This BU junk and mismanagement/code issues proves that that group promoting it needs to swallow their pride and greed, and allow the user base to decide versus their mining might and falsified nodes.

After few days continued small growth in price reaching close to $1100 once again it has been falling down trend. This doesn't seem to go below $1050. Possibly can expect the price to move forward within a short as bitcoin unlimited is losing support from the miners.

True. I stay in fiat for a while. I expect btc to go dwon a lot more. A fork is closer than ever before. Roger Verr also confirmed that he will sell his 100 000 BTC to buy BU when BTC will actually forks. This will result in a huge drop of 25% alone, + panic and fud = 35%. Thats the time to buy, not now.

$2000 is something out of reality right now, later on when entire recovery is over with the support retained from miners the price might move forward gradually. What's happening now with the price is just fluctuations and future surely gives us $2000 when the adoption increase enormous.

I don't think the increase in adoption even has to be that enormous.  If some minor merchants like Steam accept Bitcoin and people have been finding the inconvenient to pay, as soon as the issue is solved and people have spread the word many minor users' stake will increase, less as an investment and more as a currency.

In recent days, I have not noticed the fall in price as all I have seen is increase in price which has been consistent at above the $1000 after the fall in the past weeks. The $2000 mark is possible from the way I see it but with its own price like the miners fee so no one should shout about that as we only wanted an increase in price and not kin transaction fee.

Frankly it's a pretty bad way of looking at it that the price will get to a specific level within no time period.  It'll take a long time and actual development to reach $2000 for a Bitcoin, unless the price is ridiculously pumped by huge groups of rich people, which is pretty unlikely.

I also hope it will happen, is certainly very profitable. But to reach $ 2,000 it will take quite a long time. Bitcoin prices still do not indicate an increase, although up a few percent but it is in small amounts. Maybe the most fast bitcoin prices will reach $ 2,000 by year end. To achieve that I believe bitcoin need some fluctuations and prices will fall a few times, so this is quite a long process.

I just got surprised to see price trying to jump over $1100 which is good sign and within next few days we may see over $1200 if this trend continues. Support level at $1000 is really nice so trend look bullish right now.

No doubt that the price will come back on it's previous level 1300+$ soon and as many of users i really expect that it will not be the limit. We will see 2000$ per BTC this year for sure!

i like incraese price not down price, my prediction this month bitcoin price can incraese to 1200 dolllar/bitcoin

the only thing you have to do is to keep trust on bitcoin and do not sell at the time when people start spreading anti bitcoin news then you will see nothing will be able to stop bitcoin from rising in value to $2000.
