The days of mining bitcoin are over, i wasn't even around when you could mine them,

But, i like these cryptocurrencies, i want to make coins using my computer, i don't want to buy them,

Currently the only coins i am making without having to buy them is sjcx, Storj, it works by renting out your hard drive, i get a certain amount of coins each month depending on how long i left my computer on. I already have 100 sjcx coins! They are not worth a lot, but maybe someday they will

I download the Ethereum wallet, but i found i can't earn their coins, i have to buy them, that's no fun,

What other coins can i earn? Anyone making any other cryptocurrencies online?

I don't want to purchase any other equipment, i just want to use my desktop to get coins

If you have graphics card in your desktop then you can try to mine some of this coins like, ICOB, ETH, zcash, this are some coins which are more worthy to mine and earn profit. apart from this if any new coin comes in the market you can do some research and start mining in their initial stage and when they hit exchange you can trade this coins.

If you are patient you can try mrai it's a coin that you can get from solving captchas and the price is more than 1000 satohis this is profitable if you have a very fast connections and a lot of time to work online,you can go in the altcoin sections announcement and look for mrai or railblocks.

I also waiting for the answer for same question .but someone suggested me to mine ethereum ,because it was trusted and long live coin and price was rising of ethereum not as other altcoin turn into  scam or fail to survive.
Almost all altcoin mining was depend on the cost of electricity in your city or state.

if you want to mine you need to buy gpu and do altcoin mining with graphic card or cpu, there is no other way to mine, but perhaps you can find some pos coins that give for free some coins with airdrop, the last good one was picoin, try to see if the airdrop ended or still ongoing

you can trying with downloaded minergate software and start to mining, there is many coins list in minergate and you can directly mining with your pc but the best is if you have vga card inside your pc because this will help mining process will faster more. you can try to mining burst as burst coin is like storj.

The days of mining is really over you need to buy an hardware to earn but now a days its not worth it to farm even though if you buy a low end hardware. You actually need to buy a high end hardware that is atleast 1 - 2 grand so that you can earn more than you pay in your electricity and the cost of the hardware. type coin must POW, you only have good hardware if you want collet coin use mining

Try raiblocks.All you need to do is to solve captchas to get the reward but obviously don't expect hundreds of dollars by doing that. Just do it if you really want to try out a certain altcoin and want to get started.

You don't want to purchase equipment... Hmm, back in the days you could mine litecoin but now it's full of ASIC miners these days.

Only mining mrai you don't need anything and can do anywhere, even on your mobile phone.

Also you could promote ICOs by putting on their avatar or signature. That way you can get their coins as well.
