It's a series of pictures of people's faces, you have to rate what their expression is on a scale of ten, things like "sad" or "angry"
I have participated in psych studies like this before, when I was in college. They pay quite well considering how little work they are. Took me about 20 min yesterday,woke up with the money waiting this morning. +legit.

Just go to the site, there's full instructions including my university email address. BTC will be paid according to the exchange rate at the time the experiment(s) are done.

Thanks very much to this forum and everyone taking part. I had huge response, - so much so that I have pretty much all the data I need for this stage of the study. So THIS PHASE OF THE STUDY IS NOW CLOSED.

For those of you who just signed up recently to find no open experiment in their login, please be patient, a lot of data just came in very quickly and I have to count up how much of what datasets I need so I can generate and assign new experiments.

This the end of Phase 3 of the XVAMS study, but Phases 4 and 5 will be rolling along soon. If you want me to keep you posted, send an email and I'll add you to a list.

Everybody who asked for payment got paid. BTW, the naming conventions changed.  What was called "experiment 3" last year is recoded as "experiment 2". This is the 'real' "experiment 3", now, followed by "experiment 4", which is a completely different layout where no word judgements are needed, just scaling with sliders between different images.

I'd love to participate in experiment 4 when the time comes as well.

Note to all. Please could you email me at my email address (lpxpb4@nottingham.ac.uk) for payment as instructed on the site. I do check on here, but not as often as my uni email, which I'm on all the time. Mainly this is for security reasons, so that I know that you *are* the person claiming for an experiment (from your email address).

The one currently on the site is the phase 3 experiment. Phase 4 will be along in about a week or so when I've finished processing the images. For this new one, no word judgements will be made, there will just be similarity, scaling judgements based on sliders and faces.

All done! Though after the last one, when it goes back to the "Experiment 3, Experiment 4" screen (with the progress bars), it doesn't show a check mark next to Experiment 4. I clicked on it again twice and re-did images 171 to 174 twice but it's as if it won't show the check mark at all.

Anything I can do on my end? Or is it still considered as being complete?

Yes. I found a bug - The page total is being thrown off by zero scores for some reason, so your checkbox never appears and the experiment remains open. As long as you put in proper values when you tried to re-do those, it'll be fine. I'll let you know when I've sorted it.
