Title: Many unconfirmed transactions.
Post by: JustBilly on March 24, 2017, 02:08:51 PM
Hello guys. So yesterday i've sent some payments and they are stuck 0 confirmations.
I even sent with 5$ fee one and  3$ fee.  I don't know why this is happening but i have to send more money and i believe if these won't get confirmed the money i will send won't too.
Any suggestion how can i solve this? Thank you very much.

My transactions:

What are you trying to do? Unless you are attempting to use 'child pays for parent', these child transactions will not confirm. Take a look:

This means that you're trying to spend an unconfirmed output. This transaction can not confirm until this output confirms. From the looks of it, this transaction has to confirm first:

According to this website: https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin , the recommended fee-rate is 43 satoshis/byte (which is well under what you've included); this website: https://bitcoinfees.21.co , claims a much higher rate is needed (they are often quite overestimating the fee).
I've added your TX to the accelerator (you should boost the other ones, once this one confirms): https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

You should try boosting the transaction that I've linked with: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

I tried to do cpfp with the 5$ fee because it took so much time i freaked out.
Thanks Lauda.

As lauda has said, it looks like you have encountered a minor error when making transactions, which should be properly reviewed and corrected. Your transactions are really messy. That is for it can not confirm, although you paid a very high fee, however it can not be fast, and I think the error is in you.
There is a way to solve that. You need the hash of your transactions, copy it. http://Https://www.viabtc.com/ on the link above, select tools, then paste the hash of the transaction has you into it. This will make your transactions faster. However, that site only gives priority to the first 100 deals per hour, so you need to do everything quickly. good luck.

I figured as much. You shouldn't just randomly do CPFP, it needs careful examination for the appropriate fee-rate (otherwise you may either over or under pay). There is also no reason to freak out, either your transaction confirms or it doesn't (it eventually *drops* from the network). The next block that ViaBTC mines should confirm your first transaction.

Interesting! I've used bitcoinfees.21 mostly, then messed up on trying their recommended 100 sats/b by 1/10 doing the calculations wrong, so only 10% of the "recommended fee" got added. And it confirmed.
5$ are horrenduous, that's a killer fee which will drown the child.

Have to move to tradeblock's advise and learn doing the math right.

Thanks too for this thread. It really helps me too to solve my unconfirmed transaction. Actually i don't fully understand what happened to my transaction. I just to multiple address then suddenly it is too slow to confirm.
