Title: Why isn't the poll closed?
Post by: DannyHamilton on March 24, 2017, 05:23:12 PM
I posted a poll a week ago:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1831433.0

The poll says: "Voting closes: Today at 11:56:41 AM"

What time zone is that?  If it's my local time zone, then why doesn't the poll show the results yet (it's after 11:56:41 locally)?

Is there something I need to do to get the poll to show the results?

It says Today at 05:56:41 PM for me so that's in a little under 30 mins. Check back after then and it'll likely be closed.

Odd. Maybe my timezone settings weren't changed for Daylight Saving Time.  I'll check on that.  Thanks.

EDIT:  That was it.  My Timezoe offset was wrong.  Thanks.

Yeah, the forum uses UTC offsets rather than actual timezones (like "America/New_York"), so you have to adjust the offset after daylight-savings changes.
