Even then, I wouldn't simplify it like the article does, success isn't guaranteed because of variance and if you join pools that are too big they'll take a lot in fees like Antpool - plus electricity costs can be higher than earnings if you don't think about it beforehand. They cost in the millions. You have to fill out an application to possibly receive a quote. Nobody is going to sell a miner for much less than what they could make on it themselves by mining. There is NO single miner available at this time that will mine 1 bitcoin/day. That has been true for years now. The BitMain S9 (which is the current highest-hashrate miner model available to the public at ballpark 13 TERRAhash/sec AKA 13,000 GigaHash/s) will mine a little more than 0.006 bitcoin in a day right now - but as difficulty increases, that will drop over time. As of right now, it would take a little more than 150 of these miners to achieve 1 BTC / day income. The Bitfury Blockbox is an rather large assemblage of miner modules, not a single miner. |
