Title: Coins to invest in for future use rather than pump and dump
Post by: Goal on March 26, 2017, 09:05:06 PM
Id like to start a discussion on coins/techs that have future world use. The coins you see having use in the future rather than just a quick money making pump and dump.

Im currently looking at

ARDR (first to fix blockchain bloat issue)
BitBay (cheap and i see it becoming a staple platform in future crypto)
Golem (supercomputer/ one of a kind)

Your thoughts?

I would say Litecoin.

1) It's a seasoned genesis crypto (i.e its been around forever!)
2) It's so damn cheap ($4 a coin, wtf).
3) Huge upside potential (segwit @ 1/3rd the way there, and will more than likely be adopted as soon as f2pool signals)
4) The charts are showing this thing is ready to pump as soon news breaks on segwit approval. Its moving in such a tight price range. The buy pressure is building, BIG TIME and we all now know more buy's (demand) and less sells (supply) = LTC @ $220 before January 2018.

Litecoin is shit. Currently, if you want tech/real world usage look at the projects that aim to do more than just aiming to become currency. Currently ethereum is leading the herd by a long shot. However, it has many rivals which are much cheaper, but years behind in development.

Of those options, BitBay has the most homerun potential, imo.

For other options:

Look at PIVX if you have some time, it's definitely legit and staying around.

ZCash, ICN, and NEM I think all have long term application.

And obviously Ethereum is going nowhere but WAY up if you want a safer, but less explosive, growth play.

If future world use is what you are looking for in a cryptocoin then those you mentioned do not justify what they are made for. If you want a coin that will have useful future then keep it simple. Litecoin is the answer to your problem. Segwit might be activated and the possibilities for it widens after that.

I agree with Bitbay. It has some past history, but the issues are now behind us.
It is available pretty cheaply too, for a coin that has been around for years.

How about Waves, Lisk, Iconomi, Ripple, Steem, NEM, Golem, Ardor

Dont these assets bring good technological advancements that should/could be staples in the crypto world in our future?

Golem seems good from the 3 coins your mention. They are still working and it would take them 2 to 3 years to deliver the final product. Another similar project is iEx.ec, they haven't started their ICO yet.: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1746241.0

You could also look to invest into Dapps such as ICN, SNGLS, VSL ,EDG which are  good long term projects with a vision and a road map backed by good team members. I strongly believe that investing in such projects could create a lot of wealth for the holders.

As I've been saying for quite some time in this sub, Litecoin is the future of alts and segwit is on the horizon. For timestamp purposes, things have been moving rather swiftly over the last week. ;)

Recent days the above  mentioned projects looks to be a successful one, but at the same in the past several projects that we expected to give big growth didn't progress. One amongst the best project of 2017 is Qtum which has got unique plans. I believe ethbits too holds a place in the list.

I agree that Litecoin and Doge are actually used to money money around (particularly from exchange to exchange).

I don't think LTC will hit $220 though. That's extreme wishful thinking!/

DATABITS (DTB)

This is the currency for the Shark Tank recognized game Augmentors. This is a game token with huge potential. It just hit Bittrex within the last 48 hours and is seeing a steady increase in price. Don't miss out. This coin has a great future ahead of it.

Firstly, I'd like to say that I think we are wrong if we want to earn money and care whether the coin is 'pump and dump' or not. As the coin is starting to pump, one can buy it and than check the price every 12 hours. In case the price is still growing, nothing should be done, just keep checking the price. If the price goes 10% off on coinmarketcap - time to withdraw.
Secondly, although many say ETH is pump and dump, I really believe in this coin more than is any other and think it deserves to be in the list of good investments.

Bitbay is going to be buried down the rabbit hole. there are tons of marketplace, it won't stand a chance unless they have something more interesting than any other else. Bitbay I think has been up for years but it still hasn't established anything still. Whats up with their developer?

if you like an long term investment, i suggest looking at LYKKE.
still really cheap, but a great project. with a good working app wallet/exchange,
and you do not just buy coins, but also a share in the company.
defenitly worth looking into.

People seem to either hate Bitbay or love it. Im going to have to hold on to my investment and see how far it will go because I believe if the project gets itself together it will offer wonderful ROI

Litecoin is very established and legitimate.  Its low price doesn't say anything about its functionality.  Ethereum on the other hand has appeared to us out of nowhere (it existed before but most people have known about Litecoin for a long time).  Ethereum is likely to just fall again to about 20 to 30 dollars.
