Title: Is there a fee from sell order that stay for a week?
Post by: layoutph on March 27, 2017, 12:32:33 PM
Hi the title says it all, I have an account in Poloniex. Just want to know if theres a fee if I bought ETH now and sell it at the price of 0.060btc. I dont know how long ETH will reach that. Is there a fee if sell order will stay for days or weeks? Thank you.

P.S. This is not margin trading, just a normal trade. Thank you.

No fee unless the trade is actually going through so you don't have to worry about anything like that.

Poloniex simply uses the system of Maker-Taker which is used by the bigger exchanges when it comes to trading. Here is the information on that - https://poloniex.com/fees/

So no, you're good bud.

You only have to pay fees when your order will get executed so there will be no any fees for just having your order open for even years in normal trading.

You can lock this thread because i think you have already got your answer.

No. All ORDERS whether it is a Buy or Sell is free not until it is being processed or executed. Once a transaction is done, charges are computed together. Though in most  exchanges, it is not shown directly. They only put  the  percentage charge. :)

Thank you very much guys, I have been posting this question from the trollbox of Poloniex a couple of times but nobody replies. I can now submit sell orders and leave it alone without worries. :)

Ok topic lock.
