So Asic miners work with Bitcoin and other sha256 coins only (such as peercoin).

So Asic miners work with Bitcoin and other sha256 coins only (such as peercoin). ASICs have been made for other algorithms as well, such as Scrypt (ex. Litecoin) and X11 (ex. Dash) , but that happened over time so maybe ASICs will be created for CryptoNote (ex. Monero) and Zcash in the future (or maybe they are truly ASIC-proof). There are currently no CryptoNote ASIC miners available on the market, there's the Panda miner out there though. |
