Title: Ideal tournament ideas
Post by: OshiHugo on March 30, 2017, 02:12:39 PM
Hi guys!
My today's question has two side and here it comes: What would be an ideal online casino gambling tournament for you? Do you have any special desires or thoughts you would like to share? Let us and others know and let's have a nice discussion.
And those two sides I mentioned: firstly, as a gambler I would like to personally know if you think the same as I do and it's my personal interest. Secondly, not only Oshi, but probably others casinos too, are having and preparing various tournaments and this discussion could be a great place to take the inspiration from - I mean - we all wanna enjoy gambling and make the most money and the users feedback is important to set everything in the best way.
Cheers!

PS: I would personally like some kind of themed tournament, maybe some combination with "non-money" prizes etc., maybe even lottery or something like that. What do you think?

Good job letting the community decide for your promotions. The benefits from this is that it's free and will most likely be good as the community made it. :D

Anyway, if it would be a tournament, then there is not much iteration to what has been done before. It's either a wagering contest or hit the numbers. You can mix it up a bit. Like an easter egg hunt (by the way, easter is right around the corner). You can set target numbers in each game, like hit 7.77 on dice, get three bells on slots, and whatever else you have there on your casino.

Monetary prize can be nice idea for tournament however i would prefer to have a long term bonus like increased faucet payout, moneyback on every bet for lifetime, higher % on referral commission etc.

Yes,the one doesn't allow their own team to participate as players and fool other participants. The top 10 winners of the competition shouldn't be bots.

There are already such tournaments in the Games and Rounds Section.Crypto-Games.net does it very often for their players and so does all the major gambling sites.

Well, it's easy to say that there is nothing new you could come with. But honestly it simple, but not right. No one thought you could come with a new kind of bonuses and yet - we brought Build Your Own Bonus.
And finding a new way how to do things can be really exciting!
Thanks for your tips! Have you ever took part in a tournament? Is there something you didint like?

I believe that that is #1 for every one. I can't imagine casino that would allow their team to play. Possibly without option to win anything, but still...
have you ever experienced this? :O

Well, not really. Locally though, I join a tournament for poker. Though I don't think that qualifies as a tournament we are looking for. True, not everything has been done, but generally all the good ideas have already been done and there is little room to find something unique. You can, however, just mix it up.

We have a great experiences with user feedback and listening to our players - it's what was behind many of our ideas. Sometimes the least experienced person can bring the best idea. :))
That' s quite a point of this topic among others

I really like the idea of having a tournament where everybody could win, not only players who deposit the most.
Some casino's only have 'most wagered' competitions and most people just can't compete with people who gamble for like more than 10 Bitcoins per week/month.

If you're running a dice game, you could have tournaments focussed around hitting certain numbers (kinda like a bingo game).

hmm. Interesting - combination of bingo/lottery game with dice game could be really great!

Yes,obviously! I state facts only if I have experienced them. The entire gambling project ran by btcagency
 -vegascasinio.io
 -bitcasino.io
 -sportsbets.io
These are some shady sites to start with a few.I have seen their players/bots always winning the top 10 sports in the competition they had organized.

That's disgusting! I mean they don't have to organize it if it ends up this way.
Definitely a great tip though - I will personally make sure that Oshi tournaments' rules are strict about this.

RPG tournament looks interesting since that type of game are very popular for gamers. But this requires too much time and extra money to hire developer of this game. But i think you can do it. Bingo, Lottery and Wagering Contest are common contest nowadays. It is good to start a fresh idea. If you mind, I suggest to have a group contest just like on DOTA, a 5v5 game so that many can participate and submit a team. It will be fun. I hope that you consider my suggestion. :D

A slots tournament where everyone starts with the same amount of starting money then whoever gains the most profit wins, the balance could be also play money. You could set an entrance fee if you like and use that to increase the prize pool. Adding non money prizes is also a good idea as this would encourage more players to join the tournament.

Yeah, I am aware of those high requirements :/
Definitely an interesting idea! On the other side our devs won't be probably happy to hear it! :D

As you said on yours first post, its has 2 side question, and include ours personal interest, would you pliss share yours personal ideas? But this idea completely you as a gambler and this forum member, not as an online casino admin/employee or else, pure as you only.. :)

If it me, im still looking for any online casino where ican win a Slot game tournament (i already win on online card games and sports book tournamen), thats why i like really win any kind of slot game tournament.

Idea for rules: its simple, start with minimal bankroll, let say 50 or 100 mBtc, winner the one with the best ROI. Must had min and max total roll. Every one can join more than once. Must had this forum acc & absolutely must had acc on yours site with same forum name acc (can contact you for help if someone already had acc on yours but different name forum acc, because i know its restricted to had more than 1 acc at yours site).

That all.

Note: my ID+email on yours site was diferent with this forum, that why i made sugestion to contact your for help :P :D

Of course! As I mentioned before I got really excited about that RPG tournament. It would have its own background story, various quests, story telling and it would be changing over time, many quests = many game types and rules. I know it would be really hard to develop, but imagine how awesome it would be. I will definitely suggest it by myself, even though I don't see it probable to come true. Only shame is that I couldn't take a part in anyway :/ :D
Hope you are happy - this is 100% mine idea and wish.
Cheers

Maybe some prescious cas coin or any precious metal of coin that available on market place. Bitcoin/money price are not interesting for me since it was the common prize on tournament. But it will be morr interesting it is a rare coin so that in can be store and always as token from the tournament. You can produce your own coin too with your website logo. That will be interesting. But i don't know what klaas preferred price tho.

I have some ideas for non-money prizes: you can award the winner with decreased or 0% HE for some time or some amount of his next bets. You can also give cashback as a prize. Also you can give "shares" of your casino as a prize - something like 0.01% of total profit.

As for tournament I think they should be kept simple to attract the highest amount of gamblers and avoid any confusions and misunderstandings.

It would be interesting to see a casino tournament. I only see two possible ways of determining a winner, either based on their profit, or the money they wagered. Of course this last way would be unfair, since it would be easier for those with a lot of money so spend.
I don't know how the first one would work though, since we all know casinos have an edge, so people are expected to lose money in the long term, so it would be funny to watch users win a tournament with negative profit.

Anyway tournament means prizes, so yes it would be great to see a casino tournament, since it would be a way to try to play with a smaller house edge.

I see. Well those kinds of tournaments are quite usual and that's why we at Oshi would like to deliver a unique experience and maybe something bit different

I would like to see high stakes texas hold em properly implemented in crypto with serious professional poker rules, and try to attract all the millions of skilled poker players into the bitcoin game.

But above all things, I still would love to see something like this properly developed:

www.battlecoin.org

I wish this was still being developed, it just needed tweaking to make the lag better, more options, more capacity, advertisement, and boom... there you have it, a massive amount of people playing a cool game for BTC that is not the usual casino stuff.

After few weeks, I am happy to announce you that we started Oshi.io (http://oshi.io)'s tournaments!
They are based on your feedback - so no wagering, weekly with equal chances for everyone. It's all win ration based so you get points based on your wins, NOT wagered money.
Try them now and let us know if you like them and what would you improve ;)

Great to see that you thought of a good new tournament. It's refreshing to see creativity.

However, I will not consider this as "NOT wagered money" based. This is still based on wagered money, but not just wagered, but based off your winnings. Though what I like about is that, since this is slot games, is if you get lucky even at small bets, you get plenty of points. Though to get lucky and get a lot of points, players will likely need to play a lot of games.

A great tournament that could attract a lot of people for me is a rolling tournament.
I mean not just one game , but every week/ month it has different game to be competed.

Well, of course you have to put in some money. But getting points goes like this: You bet 100mBTC and win 2000mBTC, an another player bets 1000mBTC and wins 5000mBTC - your win ration is greater so you win and gain points.

It's changing. One week there is a slots race and you can take a part by playing slots games, then it's blackjack etc.
Btw do you think that one week is ideal? or would you like for example flash tournaments? like 2-4 hours?
