Title: TimSweat account resurrected
Post by: The Sceptical Chymist on April 02, 2017, 03:01:28 AM
OK, is this a cruel April Fool's Day joke or what?  I got contacted by TimSweat, who defaulted on a loan last year (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1377995.0) and disappeared with 0.3BTC.  Haven't heard from him since.  Today he sends me a bunch of text messages, telling me he fell on hard times, blah blah blah, and plans to repay me.  But someone got ahold of that account, that much is true.

Is there a hacker running around the forum or something?  And if whoever has control of the TimSweat account sees this, care to sign a message from 1EhpfzNA7DZvaguAFJhTbiJRJFZ12rwLpJ ?

What do you all think?

Ha,really interesting, one scenario maybe really someone hacked the account, another possible is that he may have relogged and now actually has the intent to pay, however this is unlikely given the fact that he wasn't active in that period.Whatever the issue is,keep us updated,I'm really curious what is going on

Yeah, it's very strange.  I also negged his alt account, indyT, which he admitted was his in the signed message in the original loan thread.  I don't know how I missed that to begin with.  That account hasn't been logged into since about the same time TimSweat stiffed me on the loan.

Accounts are being hacked left and right, but let's prioritize adding stupid badges for April Fools. ::) Read this: Hundreds of thousand of bitcointalk accounts hacked (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1826778.0)

Anyhow, tagged him as well.
