Earlier today, i checked the altcoin announcements, i opened the first "interesting" post i found (less then 5 pages), it was an ico with the classical scam ico scheme :

- No team informations, not even the amount of team members or bitcointalk's profiles.
- Crapy website talking only about ICO.
- Pseudo demo in the website.
- Shady informations on whis lookup
- focusing on design and ICO
- Self moderated thread.

I am sure that this ICO will be fully funded, and then people will be "shocked" discovering it is a scam, as usual, they will post scam accusations, ask bitcoin-core for help, untill the next ICO. As always.

I only invested in few ICO's, but it's enough for me. It was my mistake. First times when I invested in ICO's, I didn't had enough knowledge and I was naive. I was professional made coin announcements, good comments by people. I started to believe that coin price can reach moon. But after ICO, devs run away with investors money and coin aren't added to exchanges. Or if it added to exchange, coin never reach ICO price.

People investing in ICOs deserve to lose their money.  I don't know if some of them think they are similar to IPOs for stocks?  That is a massive mistake.  IPO means the company already exists, and has privately held stock, and now the public may buy.  ICO?  "We don't have a crypto currency yet, but we will, and if you give us some money we will give you some valueless coins when we launch."   ICO shows developers have ZERO faith in their own product.  If these creators think their crypto has real value, then the coin will be self funding like ZEC or DCR and have a developer subsidy.  If the coin is shit, then the dev subsidy is worthless. So this way they are encouraged to create and support their product.  ICO? Snake oil.

I also not agree with people investing in ICO, most of the time the developer used ICO to gained profit by scamming other people with sweet deal and other promise, most of the new coins now don't have any solid foundation and feature, it just copy paste coin with poor development, buying an ICO almost equal to sending your money to stranger
