What is the big things on social media that relate with bitcoin?
When we talk about social media, we talk about a business area with massive market and users with unique needs. So I think that would be nice when we can spread out bitcoin to inform the whole world about this alternative internet payment on social media platforms.
Share your opinion about what we can do on social media platforms to make(push) peoples to be interested​ in using bitcoin.

Bitcoin is quite popular in social media though because social media is now being used by more than 1 billion people, there are always room to grow. In Facebook, there are already so many Bitcoin users and I am wishing that soon we can be able to use Bitcoin in paying some Facebook services. But what I am really hoping is to have a social media site dedicated to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and we can then monetize our activities. I have not yet heard Mark Zuckerberg talked about Bitcoin and I hope he will do it soon. :)

That is what I am talking about. I am dreaming to use some services on social media like advertise on Facebook, Instagram or etc and pay it with bitcoin. Maybe we need somethings that relate with bitcoin in addition to advertising​.

Biggest thing would be something like tipping content creators and changetip had the right idea for a while.  The tipping systems need to be built right into platforms like youtube etc.  People hate adverts on youtube and would glady tip a little to remove them.

Social medias has billion of users, ( facebook has 1.89 billion usersnas of February 2017 ) making it the most populated social media. Now we're talking about the big things. This sites make the worlds communication much easier and reliable. There are countless Facebook groups and pages that is related in cryptocurrencies not mentioning all the group chats that are being used as a communication. The technology is there, the thing is that these things are in private, if we're talking about business ideas, it is chronic in social medias nowadays. The information and the potential of cryptocurrencies are there too, one must just have a research.

I think the best way to spread Bitcoin to people is that when there is a trusted and legit Facebook page. That has the capability to make people believe in it. The credibility of the page and it's image to people is important. We are flooding in information and don't know where to find truth. So if there is at least one trusted page ( e.g. NASA , national geographic ). It will have a big contribution to people.

Obviously a large amount of the revenue from YouTube adverts will go to Google as well as the content creators, and tip buttons would have to be in addition to the choice that content creators have to add adverts (but it's still a good idea, Bitcoin is ideal for this especially since no confirmations are needed for a few days after sending a tip).

An important thing to do with Bitcoin on social media is to show the simplicity of shopping with it.  You grab something, scan the Bitcoin address with your phone, hit send and you're done.  The simpler people make it appear the better it will be for the masses.  "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler".

I doubt if 1.89B are all real people since there are literally millions of people with dozens of accounts, even some people have 500+ accounts lol.
Twitter has 500M users but again I bet 30% of facebook users and 25% of twitter users are inactive.
Bitcoin is there for grab people need to come to knowing it by their own terms, I think one thing many people don't understand is that bitcoin is the first currency (digital/crypto) that no government has any control over it and is accepted by millions and they'll pay real hard cash for it.
It doesn't matter what we do and what we say as long as people can just hear about it for once the rest is up to them, but advertising/promoting is good but only time will help to spread the news about bitcoin and generally the world is not ready yet 2 more generations needed for people first to be fully aware and fluent with internet and online world/technology then to get to know about every game changing technology such as bitcoin.

Yeah, social medias like Facebook have a good chance to create additional payment method for there service, because a lot of people buying even game content not only to advertise there content. I think if the company announce, bitcoin as payment method, the price of btc will increas to new stage and it will affect all currencies and the ammount of people, which will start to use bitcoin will increase and get bigger also with that announce They need to understand the system to start implementing as cryptocurrency

We just some guts to do different promotions about bitcoin. First thing to do is to create an advertisement or a short video orientation that has the most of the informations about bitcoin and they post it in different social medias like facebook and other sites and just keep the post as an active one to continue spreading it.

Two problems with social media being the method we choose to promote bitcoins. First is, people don't really care. People go on facebook, instagram, twitter, or whatever social media they go to not to learn something new or anything that relates to knowledge of anything. Second, they go there for purposes of "socializing," which actually is not anymore the case. People go there to see what other people are doing and what's happening with their lives.

Some social media users they going to social media to socialize only and they not interested in some various group about Bitcoin because they are not interested on it.

Actually bitcoin is already a blast in the social  media especially facebook and tweeter. The only difficulty in social media is that it is not spread to almost anybody but if you type the word bitcoin the search bar you will get hundreds of results. There are certain pages in facebook that tackles only bitcoin and investments related to bitcoin.

People tried the whole tipping thing on reddit (which is a massive social media site) - it kinda failed, especially when bitcoin's price started to rise and people wanted to hoard their coins rather than tip them. Doge had better luck with tipping, because it is so cheap, people enjoyed sprinkling it around, but they found some subreddits used to ban people who tipped (go figure).

Platforms like youtube would definitely ban tippers - Google makes their money from the ads and would hate anyone interfering with that.

Please don't give me a joke, as far as I know if the bitcoin is not accepted by the social media payment and do you want to get them for use it in off the social media environtment?

There are many products and services being promoted on social medias, and unfortunatelly many scam ponzies too. A big number of social media accounts are being used to promote bitcoin and alt coins.
Especially in asian countries. Step by step everyone is knowing more about crypto currencies on social medias, that is a good advertisement.

I think it's already being done. Even before i acquired btc's, i've already seen posts sharing about bitcoin and how to earn money from it. I think social medianactually helped to bring bitcoin to where it is right now

Yes it is one of the things that are being done in the social networks, bitcoin is already spreading online and one of the main targets is the social networking sites but i think it is not enough and we should still continue spreading bitcoin words of wisdom to attract more investor and also help the bitcoin to pump the price even faster.

it's true but people use facebook for a worse thing than what you said, people use facebook, as a racing tool, on who have the better life, and who get the most like on their photo, it's a shitty website for faggot that think they can be notorious one day, it's another way to grab easy money for many people, and youtube is the same

The things that can be done depends, in large part, on the social media companies. If the enable BTC as a payment method for any of their services, the BTC popularity would go to the roof and beyond. Besides that, social lending can be done with BTC (or even better, ETH). If we come up with apps that use BTC and connect them to social media, it would be another way to achieve the same results.

There are lots of advertises I've saw from social media even in random groups that not related with bitcoin, bitcoin in social media are popular even those newbie they asking about this currency because of cancer posts about bitcoin about investment that they will earn income for month for good.

The big things on social media that can be relate with bitcoin is on promoting bitcoin. This is one of the big things though that leads to attracts more users into bitcoin. Attracts more people to go into use of bitcoin because of its benefits

I think bitcoin is already 70-80% popular and known to the world. However with recent years crisis it had lost its value but it is gaining it again. With your social stuff you can make bitcoin more popular and can give it a stage where it can play it's music :-) I have seen few services who have started Physical form of bitcoins. They give it free away on twitter just for responding their tweets which all are related to awareness about bitcoins. This makes sense, people are already desperate about bitcoins and making efforts to make bitcoin more popular and usable. So such campaigns on social media are the one who relates with bitcoin a lot.  :)

None. Just let it with the current way wherein crypto related groups are spread out througout the social media. That part of exposure is enough since it will make confusion to people on what bitcoin is all about.

Believe me, it's up for people interest if they will like to use bitcoin. Even without social media or a suggestion by a friend, a person that really wants to know the idea of using bitcoin will automatically seek information by themselves. As you can see there are already lots of bitcoin groups especially in Facebook and it attracts many users now because those people are interested to know what bitcoin is all about.

All of the answers is average said bitcoin is now popular in the world and there's ton of bitcoin advertisement on social media. But I wonder in that statistics, because when you go to your neighbors and ask about bitcoin, you will hear nothing from them. We are the internet​ peoples, and have the community that knowing bitcoin, but there is millions people outside there not using Internet regularly, and using social media just for express themselves in cyberspace and don't care about cryptocurrencies.
And I am curious about some activities in social media that can force them to buy and spend bitcoin to pay something in social media.

Yes most of the people in our country doesn't know anything about bitcoin because they don't pay too much attention in the creation of technologies like this. But they will be interested in bitcoin if they see it on the news and that is what's our one of the goal which is to be broadcast in the television. People like us (internet people) will just need to keep spreading the news and attract more investors and if the price of bitcoin will start to pump very high then it will attract those average social media people and get curious and turn them into a investor.

Social media is the best way to make bitcoin more popular and give knowledge about bitcoin, social media now has become part of life, and we can introduce new altcoin and place to spend the bitcoin, so social media play a very important role to help bitcoin to gain popularity

Its already happening now since i joined most or all bitcoin based groups on facebook and we do know facebook network is soo huge which means it cant completely spread on short period of time because there are still people even they do already saw the advertisement or post about bitcoin they just ignored it. does depend on their interest if they will engage or not.

Yes, Social media has a lot of traffic so no doubt it would a great platform to promote bitcoin but it needs to be promoted in the right way. Like mostly gambling sites will promote bitcoin which might not be the best introduction about that is given. So the main issue is who will promote it the right way.

I think it's a really good idea to also activily upvote /R/bitcoin posts on reddit so they reach the front page.
It's something that I often forget to do, but if more people did this it could really improve awareness.

Not true at all.  A lot of people know about Bitcoin, but people know about loads of tiny little things that don't affect them in their day to day life.  There still needs to be a lot of promotion of Bitcoin on social media because people need to know how it actually works and handed how to use it on a silver platter if we want Bitcoin to grow more.

by itself bitcoin has auto advertisement with their signature and the bounty of many developher, start a business, news and games. unwittingly also altcoin and ico has contributed greatly to the world cryptocurency and bitcoin prices, although altcoin also disliked by some people.

Advertising bitcoin and putting interesting content is an easy thing to do!

But convincing potential users is the hard thing to do. these potential users have no idea
how bitcoin works and surely will not be willing to try it blindly.

It's far easier to 'convince' people to use Bitcoin if they have any real world uses for it.
For example, teens that do not have access to a credit card use Bitcoin to buy games on Steam, I've heard some people uase Bitcoin for this reason.

My opinion on what we should do on social media is by insisting on bitcoin payment for social media translations! By this many people will become aware on what is crypto currencies and bitcoin. We all knew the power of social media and its infect on peoples' mind. Since I exchange my coin to fiat last time I have been sharing my idea on bitcoin with friends and co-workers.

I agreed that bitcoin was very popular in a social media which is Facebook. But the worst, most subscribers in this social media aen re abusing the good reputation and credibility of bitcoin. Because majority of them they used bitcoin to scam others not to help others, in short many scammers has been appeared in this sites and many also became a victim by them.
