Good news . You have to accept it in other countries.

In fact, these conversations go for a long time. Japan really does 2016 legislative steps in the direction of bitcoin. This spring, they promise to accept bitcoin a means of payment, but not currency. I think this will lead to higher prices for bitcoin and increase the number of countries recognizing bitcoins.

I think many more countries will follow japan too as time goes by to accept Bitcoin as legal tender

Why I am not surprised :D . If i expected that from someone, it would be Japan. But i think that is right move to make, for a country that is. I hope that there will be more countries that will make the same move, and accept bitcoin as totally legal way of paying for everything. I can't imagine how it would be if my country accepted bitcoin totally :D . Hope it will one day.

I heard Ripple benefits most of this or perhaps only second after Bitcoin. Hoping more and more countries will follow.

That's nice to hear, I guess that probably means more stability and a higher value if Japan really adopts Bitcoin. If a country were to do this it would make sense it would be Japan, they do seem very technology orientated (I've never actually been there however).

Yes, that's correct and almost 200,000 stores owner if I'm correct were accepting bitcoin as terms of payment. Big one for Japan :)

I think that is a bit blow out of proportion.   I live in Japan.   I've read a national newspaper that puts the number at 4500 and currently I only know 4 places in Tokyo that work with Bitcoin.   That being said awareness and use of Bitcoin is growing here.   

Cool. Maybe crypto is bigger in other cities. One day I should visit Japan and be able to use my btc and xrp. 😀

It's the best thing ever to happen for Bitcoin this year. I'm all for it and hopefully more countries will follow soon.

Not a joke man, this calls for celebration. I'm optimistic Bitcoin will go places and more countries are going to follow suit after Jepan.

ones country economy has to collapse before they begin to embark on new adventure like what they are currently doing this time with bitcoin. since the time of that tsunami, the jpy/usd dips tremendously. it doesn't show though and tokyo still is one of the most expensive city to stay.

I just learned of this news rightnow and I'm happy Bitcoin has taken us this far. Japan as a world super power speaks well of our cryptocurrency and I'm happy for their adoption, hopefully by the end of the year more countries will get on board that trend.

I'm sure there is more going on in Tokyo than I personally know of.  However I'm also sure Tokyo or Osaka would be leading the way.   4500 and growing is a believable number ... 200000 is someone's imagination.  The 4500 number was reported by the Japan Times.   I'm sure they know more about what is going on in Japan than some online Bitcoin Blog.

It is really happening and these will be a start that may or may not be a good future of bitcoin, brace your selves guys, we are about to witness something big.

Everything is possible, but only in civilized countries, with heavily broken digital technologies. The fact that the state recognizes bitcoin as a currency is the first step towards legalizing bitcoins around the world.

I can say it's good news to hear that. I can say that this was a first step, at least it could lead to taking a step in the name of other countries. I think that Japan's actions like this will affect other countries in the national arena.

I hope I live at Japan, in my country it will take years to adopt Bitcoin and to be recognized by my fellowmen. 

The main precedent. Enough that Japan has recognized bitcoin and other countries will see what benefits it will bring to the Japanese and they will quickly accept the cryptocurrency in order not to remain aloof from this market. The situation will change completely.

Japan leading the way for bitcoin market to be mass adopted. Expect Japan to be huge in trading as well. Other countries will follow its step and make bitcoin legal.

Japan is such an interesting country, maybe Bitcoin will keep growing now that it has the legitimacy of legalisation.

People shouldn't get their hopes up too much though because it's still important for Bitcoin to avoid too much regulation, which Japan might implement if they're capable.

The implementation of control will be unambiguous. You yourself think what the government should do with legalization bitcoin. Simply this can not be avoided and the user will lose anonymity.

Japan has been synonymous with technology. That's why they what to be the first to make bitcoin legal and pioneer of the bitcoin technology.

That's normal. It's not easy to adopt bitcoin technology and integrate it into a huge economy like Japan.
